is patently false, because that involves some alternative history where Japan doesn’t attack the US, and Hitler doesn’t declare war on the US 4 days later. The fact is after Pearl Harbor and Hitler declaring war on the US, almost every conk publicly supported going to war with both.
No more worth our intervention than other wars we haven’t gotten involved in. If you say we should have gotten involved in WWII earlier, or an alternative history if Japan didn’t attack/Hitler didnmt declare war, still should have gotten involved because of the atrocities being committed by Hitler (I note you didn’t include the Japanese) then you have to be of the opinion the US should have attacked/invaded:
-Communist China because MAO killed FAR more than Hitler. Hitler was peanuts on the genocide scale compared to MAO.
-the Communist Soviet Union, because Stalin was worse than Hitler as a mass murderer).
-Communist Cambodia, because Pol Pot & the Khmer Rouge killed 1.5-2 million Cambodians mainly political opponents, and their racist emphasis on national purity resulted in the genocide of Cambodian minorities.
-Rwanda because the Hutus murdered .5 to 1 million mostly civilian Tutsis in only about 100 days. That was a murder rate that Mao, Stalin and Hitler could only dream of.
