The Official 2012 Election Results
Re: The Official 2012 Election Results
Wisconsin and Colorado seem to be going Obama's way. That would end it even if Romney won FL and VA.

Thanks, jelly!Skjellyfetti wrote:PennsylvaniaGrizo406 wrote: Saw on the news that there was a voting machine in service that every time someone voted for Obama, it changed the vote to Romney. The news of the report showed it from a YouTube vid, and that's just what happened. I looked for it on YouTube, but couldn't find it.
I think it was in New Jersey, but I'm not sure...

My sincere apologies to the great folks in New Jersey!!

Re: The Official 2012 Election Results
I don't see any way Romney wins FL with Dade county only reporting 40% so far. The vast majority of FL counties are at 100% reporting, so I don't think there's enough rural votes to offset what Obama is going to get out of Dade.

This election is essentially over. Obama's about to take Florida...the results from Dade are currently coming in and you can just see Obama's lead creeping up slowly.dbackjon wrote:Romney/Ryan have lost all their home states...

I'm going to predict 300-238 for Obama at this point (and that's giving Romney OH).

Can one of your donk geniuses explain to me why the South Beach/Palm Beach Jews love Obama so much?

I just don't get it. He shits on Israel, taxes their $$, and they STILL vote for him in droves.Skjellyfetti wrote:Same reasons New York Jews love Obama so much. Wait. Also, how can Paul Ryan be on the Conk ticket, and still be running (and winning, handily) for reelection for his house seat?

BTW, I like how most people only focus on the Presidential election...as if he controls the government.

Right, but Congress initiates, debates and votes on legislation. Policy is important but Congress is where you can get real change.Skjellyfetti wrote:It's kinda a big deal.∞∞∞ wrote:BTW, I like how most people only focus on the Presidential election...as if he controls the government.

It is, but I don't think a lot of people (especially my age) put a lot of thought into the legislative branch which is equally as important. I'm gonna see a bunch of FB statuses saying how amazing it is Obama won without really realizing how weak the President is with a Republican house and divided Congress.Skjellyfetti wrote:It's kinda a big deal.∞∞∞ wrote:BTW, I like how most people only focus on the Presidential election...as if he controls the government.

But, Congress was never likely to change significantly this election. You determine control of one of the branches of government in a single election.Ibanez wrote:Right, but Congress initiates, debates and votes on legislation. Compare the spending of Presidential elections vs. Congressional elections. Obviously, the politicos see the value in controlling the executive branch.

Yeah, hardly anything will get accomplished over the next four years with the GOP increasing its control on the House.∞∞∞ wrote:It is, but I don't think a lot of people (especially my age) put a lot of thought into the legislative branch which is equally as important. Re: The Official 2012 Election Results
IIRC - Florida usually reports better for the GOP early, and the Dems do better later. Romney need to get a lead early. Going to be tough in Florida now.AZGrizFan wrote:I don't see any way Romney wins FL with Dade county only reporting 40% so far. But that's all perception versus an actual effect on federal government as a whole.Skjellyfetti wrote:But, Congress was never likely to change significantly this election.
