Re: Coronavirus COVID-19
The times we live in. Today my 4 year old grand daughter has sore throat and fever. Her Dad brought her to an urgent care place. I'm checking texts.
My daughter texts, "IT'S STREP Thank god!!!"
My son texts "Where on earth did she get that? That's good though!"
My wife texts "Thank you FATHER!!"

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Some people buy into the fear porn, others buy into the flu porn. We need more level-headed people who just wear a mask in public places and maintain a physical distance and we can keep things open and get sports back.

Re: Coronavirus COVID-19
Numbers just can't be fully trusted.
Listening to Epidemiologists since February, you get the sense that they know how a virus works and spreads. The problem is, they don't have good real-time data to confirm it. And thus, policy decisions are made with a questionable basis. Does the data need to be accurate? Not really, IMO. I think trends are all you need to know. But the question is, is the data so poor that you can't even get an accurate read of the trends?

http://www.shorenewsnetwork.com/2020/07 ... onths-old/Today, Governor Murphy announced the daily death toll for COVID-19 and as we have been saying now for weeks, his numbers are weeks and sometimes even months out of date. Today, Governor Murphy announced 24 people were confirmed dead with COVID-19, but only one of those actually died in the past three weeks. As the media begins to press Murphy harder on his numbers, the Governor is being forced to disclose his daily inconsistencies.
We first reported these inconsistencies back in May, but the Governor never responded to our claim. Last week, we called out the Governor’s daily briefing which is riddled with misleading facts and data each morning and outdated information.
“Sadly, we must report an additional confirmed 24 #COVID19 deaths, bringing our total number of confirmed deaths to 13,787,” Murphy said. “Of the deaths we’re announcing today, only 1 occurred in July. The number of probable deaths dropped to 1,920 as prior cases have been resolved.”
In June, we reported Governor Murphy was now cooking the COVID-19 books with a new stat called “probable deaths”. Today, Murphy adjusted his “probable death” count.

This is similar to what I posted in regards to the CDC posting a 12 week decline in deaths. The group that did that was looking at the actual death certificate.CAA Flagship wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2020 6:15 am Numbers just can't be fully trusted.

In regards to shoddy work, we are talking about the government here. They have no competition and the majority of workers have no fear of losing their jobs.

You really have a tough time with data that tell us if what we are doing to control the virus is working or not. I've never read Winnie the Pooh, but I assume Eeyore is derogatory.

I have no trouble with data. I choose to wear masks because I believe they work, and also out of respect for other old people.
You grew up without Winnie the Pooh? That explains a lot. Eeyore is the sad donkey who sees the negative side of everything.

Yeah. I’m certain that’s why he wore it on camera and then took it off when he thought he was off camera. I’m sure that’s it.
