I have always said that when it comes to the general election I choose between the candidates that have a reasonable chance to win.I would have a lot more respect for JSO being a "registered Libertarian" if he said that he was planning on voting for Gary Johnson instead of Clinton. Instead of trying to tell everyone how bad Trump is and that Hillary is somehow better for the WH, to go out and campaign for GJ.

No, what Trump did in this regard is not common. It's not something every candidate does. Every candidate does not solicit votes based on the idea that he or she is going to fund his or her own campaign then later come back and say, "oh no not really."DSUrocks07 wrote:Every candidate does this. This is not something every candidate does. In fact I don't think ANY Presidential candidate has done that before.

Re: Example of the way Trump lies
No link but I watched a CNN piece on Trump's thing where he has clothing manufactured overseas. One point was that he moved the operation from Honduras, where the workers made something like $1.30 per hour, to Bangladesh, where the workers make something like $0.30 per hour. So they asked the Trump campaign about that and he did that standard bull shit where he said it's because China is manipulating its currency so he has to do that to compete. Then they said the problem is that saying that the China manipulating its currency argument is completely false, etc. etc.
Has nothing to do with it. Trump just does it because it means a bigger profit. I'm not saying he shouldn't be free to do it. But he is SUCH a lying sack of shit.
Yet people keep believing this guy.

Re: Example of the way Trump lies
Yet I repeatedly heard republican primary voters say that they wanted to vote for Trump because he was funding his own campaign and could therefore be his own man. I thought that was stupid anyway. You say you're upset because the rich and powerful give money to politicians to buy influence. You don't want them to exercise power and influence through "buying" politicians.I think the problem is believing a politician when he says he's going to spend his own money. You know he's lying.
So now you're going to just vote for one of those rich and powerful influence purchasers directly to office? That makes absolutely no sense.
It's like Harry Reid is going to vote for one of the Koch brothers because instead of giving money to get people elected they just run themselves while funding their own campaign.
Anyway people who had Trump funding his own campaign as a factor in voting for him were played. I'm sure it doesn't matter to them. As I've said before: Trumpites have completely suspended their critical thinking skills when it comes to Trump. He could do ANYTHING and they would make excuses for continue to support him.
And that also makes no sense. He looks bad. He sounds bad. He comes of as clueless. He couldn't win an actual debate on substance against a 6 year old. This is just plain absurd.

FYI, my wife is conflicted about what to do. She is very disturbed by Trump being the Republican nominee. No way she would vote for Hillary. But she also does not want to vote for Trump. She's horrified by him.
Me, I'm voting for Hillary. Very clear cut for me. If it's Trump vs. Hillary voting for Hillary is the lesser of two very bad evils.

"We're going to have professors and adjunct professors that are absolutely terrific people, terrific brains, successful. We are going to have the best of the best... and these are people that are handpicked by me."
But a CNN investigation finds that Trump and others involved in the school admitted under oath that some promises made to students just didn't happen.
In Trump's own deposition this past December, Trump failed to recognize the name of a single presenter or teacher at his real estate seminars. He also confirmed he had nothing to do with the selection process of instructors who taught at the school's events or mentors for the school's "Gold Elite" programs.
A review of Trump University presenters and so-called real estate experts found many with questionable credentials and inflated resumes. Court documents show background-checks conducted during the hiring process could not determine whether some instructors even graduated high school.

No, you asked me if Trump has to act like previous candidates have and I said he does not. He is free to dispense with any sense of decorum and lie repeatedly. That's what he's been doing. I don't see how I could more directly answer the question.Dude, you just answered my like Trump would answer a question. Hypocrite.
You related it to Liberatarianism. I said he is free to lie. That's answering the question related to Libertarianism. But you should be using your powers of critical thinking to recognize that he lies all the time, cannot be trusted at all, appears to have the emotional maturity and stability of a middle school punk, and should in no way be considered for the job of President of the United States.

Her's 2 dozen Hillary lies laid out by left leaning Politifact, most of them in the past year:JohnStOnge wrote:That's not a "type of analysis along those lines." But it results in an assessment of the proportion of statements that are false. And, in terms of proportion, Donald Trump has made a LOT more false statements than Clinton has during the primary period.
Simply pointing out false statements is not the same kind of analysis.
http://www.politifact.com/personalities ... se/?page=1
Here's 7 additional ones:
"The 7 Wildest Lies From Hillary Clinton
1. Dead Broke – In an interview, Clinton stated that she “came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt.” Something even the left-leaning Politifact found to be false.
2. Sniper Fire – During the 2008 campaign, Clinton said she came under sniper fire in Bosnia during the ’90s. She went so far as to claim her group ran “with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.” Video of her actual arrival surfaced showing a very calm scene instead, and the Democrat would quickly say she simply misspoke.
3. Immigrant Grandparents – When discussing immigrant stories, Clinton asserted that “all my grandparents… came over here.” It was another story Politifact said was false, as only one of her grandparents was an immigrant.
4. Sir Edmund Hillary – Seems Clinton can’t even bring herself to tell the truth about her own name. She claimed to be named after Sir Edmund Hillary, one of the first men to climb Mt. Everest. One small problem though, the explorer didn’t climb Everest until Clinton was 6 years old.
5. The Few, The Proud, The Marines – Very recently, Clinton claimed to have been turned down by the Marines when she applied in 1975. Washington Post fact-checkers quickly realized the absurdity that a rising legal star at the time, and soon to be wife of Bill Clinton, would drop everything and ship off with the Marines. They gave her a couple of Pinocchios for her tall tale.
6. Secret E-Mails – Former Secretary of State Clinton claimed her infamous private e-mail server was set up in “accordance with the rules and the regulations in effect.” A federal judge disagreed, saying Clinton “violated government policy” when she used a private server to store official State Department messages.
7. Benghazi – Clearly the most reprehensible lie of them all – Clinton failed to tell the truth about a terrorist attack that killed four Americans in Benghazi. She claimed for weeks, standing over the flag-draped coffins of murdered Americans, that an insensitive YouTube video had incited the violence that occurred that night. Why? Because a terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11 – which it was – would have destroyed President Obama’s re-election chances. But hey, at the end of the day it’s worth it to Clinton to tell a politically expedient lie, so long as her party can stay in power.
After all, what difference does it make?"

Re: Example of the way Trump lies
It doesn't matter who's the bigger liar. As we all knew would be the case, the MSM are now training their guns on Trump instead of Clinton. It's been all Trump University, all the time, for the past couple of days. Hildabeast's e-mail scandal has been left in the dust.

I wonder if JSO voted for Full Sail University fanboy Romney?Ivytalk wrote:It doesn't matter who's the bigger liar. Re: Example of the way Trump lies
Just some random observations about yet another JSO Trump thread:
1. Boy is JSO worked up, Jack! Better get the bp (and not the one that spilled oil all over the Gulf) checked.
2. JSO doesn't know how to use the quote function properly. If you actually leave the poster's name embedded in a quote, they will get a notification so they can respond.
3. No matter how many times you rant like a little girl about how bad Trump is and how bad his supporters are, you're not going to change anyone's opinion. It's that wasted continuous effort that is really creating all the entertainment. You're this board's little version of Charleton Heston telling us all that Soylent Green is people. Yes, we know it's people and we know Trump is a disgusting person, just like Hillary. Most politicians are.

Me, I'm voting for Hillary. Very clear cut for me. If it's Trump vs. Hillary voting for Hillary is the lesser of two very bad evils.
