Watch the news. Read about what's going on in the ME with Christians. Singled out and beheaded. Shot. Eviscerated. Burned alive. I can see that. I don't know that it is important to most of us what others believe unless they are making decisions that affect others based on it. But nothing is in a vacuum so it's gonna happen either way. When someone tells me what they believe and that I should join them is where I (like you) start to wonder why some asshole thinks I need their fairytale in my life.

Now in a situation like this where people want to specifically get together and discuss the merits, lampoon, or anything else then I guess we're all guilty of wanting some of this.

I know what you are saying, but don't believe you are correct. I get the fact that men are the dominant force in the ancient scriptures, and thus religions (Islam!), but that is not what is preached in mainstream Christianity. Good thought, but off on a bunny trail.
