Reality check: too many Black women allow themselves to be fvcked by thugs and they have little expectation that the thug-of-the-week will stick around to help the women of the child.

There is no punishment for this type of behavior (heck, it isn't even frowned upon anymore), except that the resulting child will grow up in a poor household with an uneducated, needy mother with low self-esteem. Attempts to point out alternatives (no sex, protected sex, get married, take responsibility) fall on deaf ears and are often seen as "old fashioned values", "intrusive", or even "racist" thinking. Hell, several of my wife's students have bragged that they get their own housing/assitance once they have a child.

In the end, people are responsible for their behaviors. Entire communities are failing to focus on what is needed to educate people in order to get them to improve their lot in life. These folks will have to be very selective in their reading about this case (or simply stick to liberal media outlets, who will be even more selective in their reporting of the case) because the facts quite clearly prove at least one of the black killers to be a violent bigot. I started this by saying that the killing of Chris Lane and the murder of the WWII veteran aren’t shocking. I’m not trying to diminish or dismiss the significance of these crimes at all. As I stated, I am horrified, sickened, saddened, enraged. But it isn’t shocking because it is also the clear result of particular and obvious factors — most directly, the actions of three despicable individuals. Yet look only a little deeper and you’ll see that those individuals were influenced by three essential ingredients: 1) A complete lack of parental guidance. 2) The evil and destructive “gangsta” culture perpetuated by rappers and other so-called “leaders” in the black community. 3) Hatred and racial animosity planted into the public conscience by certain very bad and very influential men and women.

70 percent of black fathers abandon their kids. The music industry stylizes and glorifies thuggishness and gangsterism. The President of the United States tells blacks that they are the victims of white oppression. Violence and turmoil are not side effects of these things, they are a logical result. I worked at my dad's farm and cemetery while learning the mortgage business after college graduation until I moved to Central FL in 1986. I also worked at my college GF's Dad's liquor store in college while taking a full course load and playing ball and working for my dad. I've NEVER had a salary in my professional career.... only commission until I became self employed in 2007. I built my business from nothing.

They remind me of the silver spoon Governor of Minnesota. Guilty that they are white and were given great opportunity. They throw money in the form of taxes at the problem, but they don't go into the poor side of town themselves, and try and help someone in person.

My dad was a 10th grade dropout. He had to work on my grandparents' farm to help support the family before being drafted and sent to Europe as a special operator in WW2. He came back and got a job at a turpentine still, worked his way up to plant superintendent over the next 20 years while operating a 700 head hog farm at the same time. He later built a cemetery so between the hog farm and cemetery I worked my natural ass off every day while playing- and starting in- 3 varsity sports and taking what is now known as AP classes in HS. I graduated 11th in my class, earned 10 varsity letters, and was selected to American Legion Boy's State.

My mom's dad died when she was 19 and left her mom and siblings virtually nothing, despite the fact that he was a physician- but our hometown was so downtrodden most of his work was pro bono to help folks. She taught school and went to college part time while raising two kids and eventually earned her phD at the age of 44 and became superintendent of schools just in time for integration in 1970.

I worked at my dad's farm and cemetery while learning the mortgage business after college graduation until I moved to Central FL in 1986. I also worked at my college GF's Dad's liquor store in college while taking a full course load and playing ball and working for my dad. I've NEVER had a salary in my professional career.... only commission until I became self employed in 2007. I built my business from nothing.

Those who know me in these forums know how competitive I am and will attest to the fact I'll cut your nuts out and feed them to you to get what I want. I promise you that the work ethic, discipline, and drive my parents and I have demonstrated transcends demographic boundaries and if somebody is willing to pay that kind of price they will be successful- regardless of who they are or where they come from.

Unfortunately, that kind of work ethic, drive, and discipline is largely absent in many precincts today.
