Yeah, or what percentage of our government spending is earmarked for these dregs of society? It has got to be miniscule and that being the case, why are the conks so pissed about it? There are so many bigger fish to fry than food stamps and quite frankly, in the long run, it's cheaper to toss a few bread crumbs their way than to clean up after riots or incarcerate them.
Well, that obviously makes it ok since it's a small percentage of the budget. Let them eat cake. So, as long as they only get their cumbucket girlfriends a "little bit pregnant" with another illegitimate child to suckle from the government teet, it's ok. Let's shut down GE......or we could let those who can't afford to take care of themselves die off so society improves overall.

Wonder why those, ahem, "46%" don't "pay", ahem, taxes? Is it because they're all lazy? Do they make enough?
Interested in your thoughts, Apper!
No, I don't think ALL of them are lazy. And that's not the point IMO. It's our tax code that enables those folks to not pay any taxes through no fault of their own. What I do have a problem with is them bitching about others not paying their fair share, hence the hypocrisy of their argument. They should sit down & STFO or put some skin in the game if they want a voice.....
So what percentage of the 50 % do you think are lazy? And what percentage of the social spending is not related to programs they pay into through payroll taxes. Reagan raised their taxes to take care of part of the problem in the 1990's. Perhaps it's more of wage problem than a lazy problem.

I don't doubt it is a wage problem. And I couldn't venture a guess as it's a non-sequiter with regard to laziness. But that wasn't my point. My point is the continued hypocrisy from a class of NON-income tax paying people screaming about a class of CURRENT income tax paying people needing to pay more in income taxes. It's not right that corporations such as GE pay no income taxes and it's not right that +/-46% of the low-income populace pay no income taxes. Our country has problems, we all live in this country, and we should all share in the burden of fixing this country in a consistent and equitable manner. Either that or we should just scrap this whole governmental experiment and beg England to take us under their care again.

No, not really. And it's not right that the ultra-rich have such access to our government. But that's a separate issue. People who pay no income tax shouldn't ask those who do to pay more. It's that simple with regard to this specific issue.

I truly think that for a majority of the working poor and lower middle class the best criticism you can make is that they've spent beyond their means. Then again that applies to a whole bunch of well to do folks, companies, and the government as well.
There are all sorts of people out there right now working multiple jobs, getting on with less luxuries, in attempt to get right. It's the big reset.

Credibility!? I work with these people every day. I know them. I see their failures and successes, every day. I don't make much money and I work 50-70 hours of week and I'm salaried. I'm the most credible. That I needed to explain that to you is why I just simply call you the moron that you are and move on.
Also, at least I have a job. The few hundred dollars of support we provide our people per person pales in comparison to the tens of thousands we pay to incarcerate and feed fucks like you. Go say 10 Our Fathers and beg ME for forgiveness, because sooner or later, I'm going to be taking care of you or your family - you piece of shit bum.

You're so fokking delusional. On my worst day, I could buy your family twice and take you down to county lock-up to swap you for cigs. You're bragging about a non-profit salaried job. It's best if you & your ilk stay below the radar so as not to piss us taxpayers off or we might get interested in the corrupt practices inherent with "businesses" run by people, like yourself, who no nothing about having to make money to keep the doors open.
You and your job exist solely upon the graces of taxpayers like myself. Just thank me and move along....

You're just a dunce.
We run a child care program, the largest in the county, that serves hundreds of children in 13 sites throughout the area and provides before and after school child care for hundreds of families. This program has 30+ employees alone, and must adhere to complex and very strict laws and licensing requirements - oh it's been in business for 25 years. The profits from this program help fund our other programs. Yeah, we don't know how to make money.
Most of our tax-funded activities involve issues that the government should be involved in - victims of domestic violence and victims of child abuse and neglect - victims of crime and criminals. We're funded because we do it well and we can do it cheaper and better than the government can. So you can thank us for maximizing your tax dollars, being good stewards of the public money and helping break the cycle of violence and drug addiction and generational poverty that lead to higher taxes and societal decay.

Enjoyed a great morning with you Appy! Thanks.
You are welcome to come visit me any day. We're always looking for volunteers, who help keep our costs down and give us the ability to provide vital services for a fraction of what the government can.

Not really Z. Believe it or not, we're very tough on the people we serve and our expectations are very high. Also keep in mind many of our beneficiaries are victims of crime, heinous crime like child abuse and neglect. Most of the people we serve are children.

Archidioceses (the catholic church) set up thier own, separate 501C3's who in turn do most of their charity work. I worked for one in Alaska and we went after and got millions in local, state and federal dollars (taxpayer funds) every year to do our work. MOF, the first million we got to rebuild our shelter was a federal grant.
You're an idiot, plain and simple.
