You may be Jewish, but if you are an American Citizen living in the United States, then in my book that makes you American, not Israeli. If you want to be Israeli, then by all means go and live there......spend your tax dollars on their defense, fight the good fight.....live long and prosper.citdog wrote:EWURanger wrote:
Who is this "we" ****? You're American, dude.
I love how Americans always try to associate themselves with something they are not. Irish, Italian, frickin' whatever.......my dad's originally from the UK but that doesn't make me British. If you were born here, you're American, period.
I am a Jew. Do I really have to explain it to you? Do you really not know that many, many American Jews are also Citizens of Israel? Myself included.
I do understand how the dual citizenship thing works, I just don't agree with it. Prior to me having to get a Top Secret clearance because of my work I could have applied for dual citizenship - but the government makes you renounce allegiance to any foreign government in that scenario, and I agree with that 100%.
I don't have a problem with Jews anymore than people of any other religion. I just don't think it's our responsibility to fend for them anymore than anyone else.
