Exactly.

Re Pardoning Clinton: this is a non issue. Just a fiction being drummed up by the right. As I understand it, a prerequisite for a pardon is a conviction.
Ever heard of Ford pardoning Nixon?

I have. I though an indictment was pending in that case.

1) Saw a report tonight that the Washington Post has given Hillary Clinton 7 "Four Pinocchios" for real whoppers this campaign season. So how many has it given to Donald Trump? 59. The report indicated that Trump has gotten more "Four Pinocchios" awards during his campaign than all other Republicans combined have gotten over the past three years. But of course that's the lying media. We know that because Trump says so.

2) Saw Trump say the United States is a laughing stock. Wonder if he realizes that, to the extent that we are a laughing stock, it's because HE has a shot to win the Presidency. And we'll REALLY be a laughing stock if he wins. That's one thing that's really ironic. This thing he does where he says we need to elect him so we can get respect. What a complete buffoon. To the the rest of the world it would be like we elected Bozo the Clown. We'd have less respect than we've ever had in the modern era. He's a joke and the rest of the world knows it.
I don't care what the rest of the world thinks. What amazes me is your failure to admit our entire system is a laughing stock. That there's ANY credibility in either party's establishment. Trump is simply the icing on the cake.

Boy I'd love to believe Princeton's election model. It gives Clinton >99% chance of winning.

But no. I'm sticking with 538.

I don't necessarily care what the rest of the world thinks per se. I'm just saying that it's ironic that Bozo the Clown seems to think we'd gain the world's respect by electing HIM.

But I don't think our basic system is really a laughing stock. I think most of the rest of the world does begrudgingly respect it.

The problem in this case isn't our system. It's the People who voted for Donald Trump during the Republican primaries. If you have a system that relies on the People you have to hope People don't do something stupid like that.

Yet there's a pretty good chance that our system will end up rejecting the product of that stupidity. Stay tuned. My fingers are crossed.

Hillary must be pissed at Bill. Won't make much difference in the election, but saying this isn't going to help Hilllary with the white vote. Just like when Bill call Obamacare "the craziest thing in the world." Bill is suppose to be smart. Yeah it was a closed door speech last Nov,, but there really is no such thing as a closed door speech anymore, as virtually everything will be recorded and/or leaked..

“84 percent of the American people, after inflation, had not had a raise of 1 cent since the financial crash. We have incredible debates all over America that shouldn’t exist between people in different racial groups because they don’t trust law enforcement anymore. And in the middle of all this we learned, breathtakingly, that middle-aged, non-college-educated white Americans’ life expectancy is going down and is now lower than Hispanics, even though they make less money. And the gap between African Americans and whites is closing, but unfortunately not because the death rate among African Americans is dropping but because the death rate among white Americans is rising. Why? Because they don’t have anything to look forward to when they get up in the morning. Because their lives are sort of stuck in neutral."

I will say that I am thinking of changing my party registration. But i've been registered as a Libertarian for something like 30 years.

BTW, I am NOT thinking of changing to Republican. I have pretty consistently voted Republican in national elections based on a "vote for someone who has a chance to win" outlook. But as of now I'm feeling like I will never vote Republican again due to the Republican Party selecting Trump as its nominee.

I doubt you'll even raise the next Dem's chance of winning Louisiana from Hillary's 0.7% to 0.8%

“This is the news of the millennium!” said the story on WorldPoliticus.com. Citing unnamed FBI sources, it claimed Hillary Clinton will be indicted in 2017 for crimes related to her email scandal.

“Your Prayers Have Been Answered,” declared the headline.

For Trump supporters, that certainly seemed to be the case. They helped the baseless story generate over 140,000 shares, reactions, and comments on Facebook.

Meanwhile, roughly 6,000 miles away in a small town in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, a young man watched as money began trickling into his Google AdSense account.

Over the past year, the Macedonian town of Veles (population 45,000) has experienced a digital gold rush as locals launched at least 140 US politics websites. These sites have American-sounding domain names such as WorldPoliticus.com, TrumpVision365.com, USConservativeToday.com, DonaldTrumpNews.co, and USADailyPolitics.com. They almost all publish aggressively pro-Trump content aimed at conservatives and Trump supporters in the US.

The young Macedonians who run these sites say they don’t care about Donald Trump. They are responding to straightforward economic incentives: As Facebook regularly reveals in earnings reports, a US Facebook user is worth about four times a user outside the US. The fraction-of-a-penny-per-click of US display advertising — a declining market for American publishers — goes a long way in Veles. Several teens and young men who run these sites told BuzzFeed News that they learned the best way to generate traffic is to get their politics stories to spread on Facebook — and the best way to generate shares on Facebook is to publish sensationalist and often false content that caters to Trump supporters.

As a result, this strange hub of pro-Trump sites in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is now playing a significant role in propagating the kind of false and misleading content that was identified in a recent BuzzFeed News analysis of hyperpartisan Facebook pages. These sites open a window into the economic incentives behind producing misinformation specifically for the wealthiest advertising markets and specifically for Facebook, the world’s largest social network, as well as within online advertising networks such as Google AdSense.
