The Star Spangled Banner has a weird and possibly controversial allusion to slavery in its third verse. Of course, the natural reaction to that is to say "wow, I didn't even know the Star Spangled Banner had more than one verse".

Later verse? Lincoln is referred to as a 'despot' in the first line.

I actually met the Cleets ratio for about three months in 1994. My inseam is 30 and my waist was 29 when I graduated from Marine Corps boot camp. I went weighing 180 and left after twelve weeks weighing 155 (I'm 5'9") They simply didn't let us eat properly down there. Average seat time at chow was roughly three minutes or so. Everyone went for the softest food first (yogurt and scrambled eggs were prized) because you could gulp without having to chew. Everyone was hungry 24/7 the entire twelve weeks with the exception of live fire week on the range, because they didn't want any murders or suicides.
