How much of a problem is theft? Do they steal the artwork, or just the shiny objects?
Do you have to pay in pesos, or do they accept the dollar?
Do they smell like tacos? With all the beans they eat, do they fart a lot?
Not that this really matters...ya' know, I'm a hip cosmopolitan modern man. I'd hire a brown person too.
If they could only be trusted.

Exactly - Conks use immigration as a way to keep poor white people voting for them (even though it is against their best interests to do so) so they can stay in power.
Conks have to have a boogieman to run against - Gays, Abortion, Terra, Science, Poor Brownies, etc.

Comparing those past immigrants to what's going on now with Mexicans is invalid because what we're talking about with Mexicans is people coming here illegally. Re: Immigration Crisis
Though exit polling doesn't break it down, it's probably that White people who are "poor" by any reasonable definition vote majority Democrat. And by the way the majority of Black...poor or otherwise...don't like what's going on with illegal immigration by people from South of the Border either.Exactly - Conks use immigration as a way to keep poor white people voting for them (even though it is against their best interests to do so) so they can stay in power.
This thing of thinking that it's poor and/or uneducated Whites that are the strength of the Republican Party is a myth. The "middle class" tends to vote Republican. The "upper class" tends to vote Republican.
The truth is that the Democrats depend on overwhelming majority vote among the poor and/or minority groups to be competitive nationally. Also an overwhelming majority vote for them among the least educated.
The truth is exactly the opposite from the myth Liberals tend to foster when it comes to who is supporting each party. The poorest, least informed, least educated in ANY racial group tend to vote Democrat. Yes it's less overwhelming among Whites. But it's still the case.
It's the Democrats who benefit most...by far...from what I call the "Zombie Vote" of people who have NO idea as to what's going on. And the Democratic Party knows it. Their tactics are designed accordingly.

JSO's contention is that poor whites vote Democrat and the middle and upper classes vote Republican. That's why I used Idaho. You could make a similar point with high income places like San Francisco that still vote Democrat. It's not a slam dunk.

You're only looking at income. Poverty is calculated including many variables including housing and cost of living.
In Spokumpton, $50k/yr provides a comfortable lower middle class existence. In Greenwich,CT, $50/yr puts you in an emergency shelter and soup kitchen.
With the nation's highest combined tax rate, high housing and cost of living, California is the quintessential test tube of the failed liberalism experiment.
