BTW... reminds me of one time there were these college of charleston students going around putting flyers on the windshields of SUVs in downtown Charleston, excoriating the owners for having SUVs that guzzle gas and destroy the earth

there was this Ford Expedition parked right in front of my F-150 (yep I had two... best vehicles I ever had) and the Expedition got a flyer while my F-150 didnt

I went and found one of these kids putting the flyers on the cars and asked her why she didnt put a flyer on the F-150 but did put one on the Expedition right in front of it. She replied that the expedition was a SUV while my truck was not. I told her that the F-150 and the Expedition were exactly the same vehicle, and in fact that my F-150 had the 5.4 liter V8 while that particular Expedition had the 4.6 liter and therefore used less gas... she got this confused look on her face and then asked me if I wanted a flyer... i asked her why she was just putting the flyers on SUVs- she launched into this pre=programmed spiel about how SUVs are not only dangerous to the environment but they also are dangerous to other motorists because they are so large... I asked her if she didnt think pickup trucks with their lighter rear ends (and therefore more squirrely) were not more dangerous to other motorists.... and cue the confused face again

i used to love screwing with people like that but it was really for my own entertainment

Me, I don't think government should be in the business of forcing kids to go to school to begin with. Whether or not kids go to school should be entirely up to their parent(s) or guardian(s). If they want to have public schools it should be a situation where they're available and people can use them if they want. But nobody should be forced to either use them or otherwise have their kids educated via means approved by the State.

Some people prefer to think that choice is a, "free" thing...and then they punish you for your choices (or you punish yourself with your own choices).

In the end, life is about choices...sometimes, even if you disagree with someone;s choice, you should let people be proud of their own choices.
