They got 2 - 4 inches of rain last night and this morning in DC. Must have washed out the uprising as it's 11:45 am there now and nothing in the news about it!

There are always defections but i'll take the side with the assault rifles, tanks, howitzers, etc... vs. those with AR-15s and poodle shooters.
I doubt that American troops using assault rifles, tanks, and howitzers against American civilians would go over well with the international community

From what the US military did in Iraq, Afganistan, drone wars etc, following orders seems to be the norm.

I don't see any career military officer jeopardizing his future by supporting a bunch of half-wits that don't even know what they're protesting and I seriously doubt the NCO and enlisted ranks in an all-volunteer army will not do as they're commanded.

Sure thing, Gomer. :coffee: You brainless half-wits in the Army might be automatons, but I can guarantee you there's not-insignificant portion of the military that would tell the Commander-in-Fraud to kindly go fuck himself if he orders them to start gunning down Americans en-masse.

Depends. Are those Americans trying to overthrow a constitutionally elected government? I get your point, but my point is that our officials are elected in and out of office. We don't take up arms and throw them out at gunpoint. That's unconstitutional. And those soldiers took an oath to defend the Constitution, to obey the orders of the Commander in Chief. If Obama tells them to go murder Americans peacefully organizing then THAT is an order they can refuse. But they took an oath. If Obama orders them to put down an insurrection that threatens the constitution, then they should honor their oath.

That's my belief. If there's a true threat to the constitution, then so be it. But this is 100% partisan. Go to their website and look at who they demand leave office and who they want to organize tribunals to get american straight again. It's crystal-fucking-clear.

I doubt it as well. However, it all depends on what actions are taken. We can assume all day but if a group of a guys charge the Capital and hold Democrats hostage, then force should be met with force. And believe me, the safest people in that building would be the Republicans (for the most part.)
