Maybe we should get us some of that reform.

A national unemployment statistic is utterly worthless. Regional and/or industry unemployment stats would tell a better story. It's certainly not a rosy picture for admin specialists who live in Cali. I'll tell you that first hand.
That sounds like paper shuffling bloated middle management pyramidal layers of red tape
That the corporate leaders of America have seen fit to rid themselves of to increase profitability
You my friend are officially fucked
That crap is never coming back - only in our Federal Government do we have such additional layers of "Admin Specialists" milling about bogging down the expediency of daily business
American business today has eliminated much of that fluff
We are easily 15% leaner than we were 4 years ago
Good luck

Hmmmm, when it's bad news they add a disclaimer in each of the first three lines about how the numbers are distorted, technical and consistent. Where were those terms when the previous set of numbers were released, and why wasn't this headline news?WASHINGTON (AP) - Weekly applications for U.S. unemployment benefits jumped 46,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 388,000, the highest in four months. The increase marks a rebound from the previous week's sharp drop. Both swings were largely due to technical factors.
The four-week average of applications, a less volatile measure, rose slightly to 365,500, the Labor Department said Thursday. That's still a level consistent with modest hiring.
A department spokesman said the last two weeks' figures were distorted by seasonal adjustments the department makes.

The previous new jobless claims figures were down only because California did not report on time.

But this is good news for Obama. The increase in jobless claims means that more people are looking for work because the economy is improving.89Hen wrote:http://money.msn.com/business-news/arti ... d=15687745

It is interesting how boisterous Jelly, DB1 and Cat were with the news of two weeks ago and now they suddenly can't even find this thread.
