My childhood neighbor, who surprisingly never served on a jury, would state "He may not be guilty of this, but he's guilty of something-otherwise he wouldn't be here."

The only way to be 100 percent sure is if the police grab the person immediately after they commit the crime while in plain site and multiple people witness it. Anything else, there is a chance they have the wrong person.

I agree with AZ, we need to be running them through the death chamber faster than 30 years. Show me where a truly innocent man has ever been executed & I don't mean innocent of the crime they were on death row for, but a clean rap sheet & I might change my mind. A lot more of these scum bags might think twice about committing their crimes if they knew a sturdy cord & a good drop were waiting for them.

Agreed...heads need to roll in wrongful deaths.

"NATO announced Monday that it is planning on apologizing to the family of an Afghan woman and her five children who were killed in an airstrike on their home last week. A separate NATO airstrike has reportedly killed as many as 14 more innocent civilians,

Although the vast majority of civilian casualties in Afghanistan are the result of Taliban and other insurgent attacks, innocent Afghans killed by occupation forces, of which there have been thousands since 2001, give the enemy a valuable propaganda and recruitment tool.

A recent NATO airstrike in Kapisa province killed eight children and a mentally-disabled adult; in March, U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Robert Bales allegedly went on a murderous rampage in Kandahar province, killing 16 innocent civilians, including nine women and three children, in two villages before burning many of their bodies."

(NEWSER) – The military "will be formally apologizing in the next couple of days to the family,” said a NATO spokesman. “We are deeply saddened by any civilian deaths." (One study says that 1 in 3 deaths in drone strikes are civilians; 65 civilians were reportedly killed in one US attack.)

Islamabad closed its Afghan border to NATO after U.S. airstrikes killed 24 soldiers in November, plunging relations with Washington to an all-time low after Pakistan was humiliated by a U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden in May.

Pakistan was incensed by the American refusal to apologize for the Nov. 26 killings and besides shutting its border, ordered U.S. personnel to leave a base reportedly used in America’s drone war against al-Qaida and the Taliban.

Wonder if the liberal professors will do some research on how many innocent civilians have been killed under Obushma's watch.

I dont care that this occasionally happens its very rare and it still lets people know they will be killed for fu*king up.

Typical catering to the extreme minority.

So rare that 50% of death row in illinois was exonerated by DNA evidence and even a conk governor was embarrassed enough to place a moratorium on the death penalty.

We've killed THOUSANDS of innocent people in Afghanistan/Pakistan/Libya/etc. in order to get to a few bad guys.

That doesn't seem to matter to some folks who worry about a couple potentially innocent people on death row.
