Well... if you're going to guess...

IMO, if Missoula had the same kill em' all drug laws as Singapore.... Griz attendance would be much reduced. Just my humble first hand personal enjoyable experience.
Dude, Missoula ITSELF would be much reduced if we had the same drug laws as Singapore.

Question for a lot of you lads... are you opposed to just pot being illegal, or all drugs? IOW, you want to keep a "war" on cocaine, heroin, opium, etc..?

Portugal has a pretty interesting deal going on. They used to have a HUGE problem with hard drugs, so they instituted a policy of making intensive treatment mandatory in lieu of jail time. IIRC, their usage rates have declined significantly.

So you're for decriminalizing all drugs?

Okay: the strategies we're employing in our 'war' on drugs clearly aren't working, so I think it's time to look at other options that might be more effective. I don't think hard drugs like heroin or meth should be completely legal, but filling up prisons and spending tax dollars on keeping offenders there isn't the right solution, IMO.

I'm for decriminalizing all drugs.

The responsibility for making personal decisions should be with the individual... not the government. 8-)

I"m not for decriminalization as I interpret that term. I'm for complete legalization. I don't think government at any level should be telling anybody they can't put any intoxicating substance into their own body if they want to. The only complication is pregnant females. But even then I think the bottom line is that government should butt out on this matter.

The point of this country is supposed to be freedom. It's not supposed to be calculating whether or not someone might end up doing damage by doing something like doing drugs.

The other side of the coin is that society should not be obligated to ensure anyone's well being. So if somebody screws up their life and/or their family's life as a result of becoming, say, a heroin addict, the society should not be obligated to pick up the pieces.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

Fine. Then I want MY insurance premiums based on MY loss history, not the group loss history of a bunch of potheads, crack smokers and heroin abusers.
