What in the world has you convinced that Russia will invade any NATO country?Russia has a better chance of invading Mars, and I am not simply talking about capabilities.
We'll start with an easy question...WHY would Russia invade Latvia?![]()
If you don't mind a little more complicated nuance, what would Russia gain from such a move, versus what they would lose?
You asked "Russia is a threat to do what?" You didn't say "threat to do what to the US?"
Putin would be a threat to invade some of the former Soviet Republics that are now part of NATO IF NATO were significantly weakened. Doing what you propose
would significantly weaken NATO because of the 28 member countries the US by far provides the most might. Heck, Russia already recently HAS INVADED 3 parts of 3 former Soviet republics that aren't part of NATO. Now I should have said Russia is a threat to invade the Baltics IF NATO was significantly weakened.Cluck U wrote: We have a lot of military people, about 150,000 of them (and that doesn't count the peeps on ships that spend money when docked in other countries), helping to prop up other countries' economies. -Conventional: Little to none.

I don't see it that way. To me Trump is saying whatever he thinks people want to hear. Yes some of it echoes what Rand Paul is saying but other things he says are contradictory. How does he plan to destroy ISIS without getting bogged down in the Middle East? How is he going to punish the Chinese on trade but also get them to control North Korea? How is he going to keep Muslims out of the US while also working closely with our Muslim allies against terrorism?Cluck U wrote:Perhaps...but Trump is echoing a lot of what Rand Paul is saying. I realize that he's just campaigning and no candidate keeps all of his/her promises but he's making contradictory promises. It will be an interesting campaign and it will be interesting to watch how it works out if he wins to say the least.

people need to understand what makes Putin, and more importantly, Sergey Lavrov tick. They hate NATO and the fact that as soon as the USSR disintegrated we wasted no time spiking the ball by inviting former Soviet states in

"Russia warns of retaliation as NATO plans more deployments in Eastern Europe
MOSCOW/BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Russia will reinforce its western and southern flanks with three new divisions by the year-end, officials said on Wednesday, threatening retaliation to NATO's plans to boost its military presence in eastern members Poland and the Baltic States.
While Moscow accuses the Western alliance of threatening its Russia's security, NATO says intensified military drills and its plans for increased deployments on its eastern flank are purely defensive after Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimea in 2014 and backed separatist rebels in Ukraine.
U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said on Monday NATO was weighing up rotating four battalions of troops through eastern member states amid rising tension in the Baltic.
Russia has scrambled jets to intercept U.S. reconnaissance planes in recent weeks and made simulated attack passes near a U.S. warship in the Baltic Sea........................................"

Re: 2016 Republican Primary
Trump should go. That would be awesome press coverage.
A lot of people's assholes puckered right up last night when the Donald won. Fox was obviously one of them.

Funniest thing I have read in awhile. Nice work man!93henfan wrote:So who did we decide for Trump's VP pick?
Are there any Hispanic Muslim transvestites married to an amputee black lives matter executive who supports a $15 minimum wage in the Republican Party?

What happened during the debates illustrates why I almost never watch those "debates." They're not debates. At least they're not debates in the sense of actually arguing about substance. What happened during those "debates" is that Trump hurled insults. He had nothing real. Nothing of substance. He just did stuff like tell Jeb Bush "if you get any lower in the polls you'll be off the stage."
And Republican primary voters responded positively to that kind of vacant approach. That is not a real positive indication with respect to Republican primary voters.
If you're talking about actual debate on substance Donald Trump is no match for Ted Cruz. No match for just about anybody else in the initial Republican field for that matter. But we weren't talking about debate on substance.
We, the people, are SICK of being lied to by people who pretend to care.
Idiots say that Trump doesn't look Presidential...that he doesn't give good policy speeches.
WTF are you, and others, talking about?![]()
Run back in time and see how many of the previous, "Presidential" folks actually did anything that they, in those ridiculously prepared speeches, promised to do.
Sound bites...to appease the public. Then they go behind their closed doors and make deals to enrich themselves while forgetting their campaign promises.
Hillary is flopping around more than any candidate has in a long time. That comedian touched on it in his correspondence roast. Yet she continues to say she's ALWAYS stood for ___fill in the blank__.
And idiots like Lemiscate eat it up...even when they know she is lying.
Trump is a breath of fresh air. So is Bernie.![]()
I wish both of them would win...but Bernie was too much of a pussy, and Dems voters were (oh, the irony) too conservative and entrenched with the establishment. Oh, and the so called progressive Blacks, chicks, and other miorities were too narrow minded, racist, and bigoted to support a White Man.

No, cogent is an actual word. I looked it up. It means the partners in a gay, male wedding.

Specifically, the cogent partners are typically made up of an assurgent and an insurgent. But the roles are interchangeable, and both like the color magenta.
But if one goes off on a tangent, then divorce could result. In which case, one or both could become regents.
This is assuming that everyone involved are of legal age, otherwise they would be a preemergent.
Cogents can be from every race. For example, a Native American would be an indigent.
Well done!
