Does an explanation really need to be given?
It's called publicly funded resources. Stop wasting them by performing a one-handed pack. Pack quickly and let them proceed on to the next task.
Did you read the article? He tried to leave in a timely manner the way one of the cops told him to, and then one of the other dipshits told him not to.
Did you see the video? Tell me how "timely" you think that was. Seriously.

What a piss-poor excuse for a freedom-loving American. Its a good thing our founding fathers weren't such cringing milksops. :ohno:

Lets see - the town is 60% black, the POlice are 92% white, the white police chief keeps a confederate flag on his basement wall.... an unarmed black kid gets shot by a cop, including several rounds while his hands were up and he was 30 feet away....coincidence? We'll let you decide...

I'd say the shooter wasn't worried about the chief having his back...
3 black officers out of 53 active officers. and you wonder why this shit happens.
What number of black officers, out of 53, would you need to prevent this from happening?

Meh. If cops didn't feel the need to be dicks when it's not really necessary, they'd probably have much better relations with the public. :coffee:

If it had happened once, plausible. But the police in Ferguson have been attacking the press all week.

Ferguson cops have a history of violating civil rights...

The Day Ferguson Cops Were Caught in a Bloody Lie

The officers got the wrong man, but charged him anyway—with getting his blood on their uniforms. How the Ferguson PD ran the town where Michael Brown was gunned down.

Police in Ferguson, Missouri, once charged a man with destruction of property for bleeding on their uniforms while four of them allegedly beat him.

“On and/or about the 20th day of Sept. 20, 2009 at or near 222 S. Florissant within the corporate limits of Ferguson, Missouri, the above named defendant did then and there unlawfully commit the offense of ‘property damage’ to wit did transfer blood to the uniform,” reads the charge sheet.

The address is the headquarters of the Ferguson Police Department, where a 52-year-old welder named Henry Davis was taken in the predawn hours on that date. He had been arrested for an outstanding warrant that proved to actually be for another man of the same surname, but a different middle name and Social Security number.

No dback, the shooting of Brown couldn't possibly have anything to do with a PD that is out of control and fears no consequences. The only possible explanation is rrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaacism!

All we have to go by is the reporter's written story. Which when matched to the video, it omits a few things. :coffee:

I didn't say it was him. But he little side kick is wearing similar shoes as in browns gang sign images.

Why one week later? Um open investigation. It's a popular excuse for Obamas administration.

It was a $50 box of cigars. Not $500 or $8.

Why do we exaggerate to prove our points?

Here is the link again. Read the story and watch the video.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... story.html
According to the video, the police officer clearly asked him to leave quickly with no explanation. Whether a person needs an explanation or not is another argument, but the officer was clear that he was in a hurry to evacuate the store. Without an explanation, several reasons can be concocted. One may be that the officer felt that this reporter, which he is sworn to protect, was in danger if he stayed there any longer. And if the reporter was in danger, that means that the officer could very well be in danger too.
Why is this not plausible?
The video clearly shows that he was not pursuing the supposed initial request to "stop recording". So no rights were violated in that sense that I can see. But it was clear that the focus was to move as quickly as he could, which CLEARLY he did not, because he was packing with only one hand.

Speaking from the point of view of someone that has been studying, assessing and presenting reports on surveillance technologies/cameras & software, covering CCTV, audio, cell-based, covert/overt, etc... including what's commonly used in stores like this one, the police wouldn't have released it if it wasn't him. Or they were certain. And with the profile of this case, they are going to avoid glaring mistakes. Especially since the FBI is involved. One really bad move, and the investigation is out of their hands totally.

Many police forces have video management software that uses a picture of a someone, and it can scan an image, with say 1000 people, and it'll find the person. You set your software to search within certain parameters and it doesn't take long to locate a person, car, etc... That's how the Boston Bombers were ID'd so quickly. The software uses any parameter you set, (time, location, colors, heights) and you can find someone really quickly.

And being that one of my contacts on this project works for the Missouri State Police, I know for a fact they have the capability. As do most (if not all) Federal law enforcement agencies.
Spoiler: show
The software/capabilities are really cool, actually. If you are looking for a blue car that threw a gun out of a window, going Eastbound on the interstate, sometime in the past 2 weeks. You can tell the software to only show Eastbound cars, that are blue and driving at a certain time of day. Then, that software will show every car that matches the criteria at once (ID'd with a date/time stamp) and you can literally view weeks of cars on an Interstate in a matter of minutes. All at one time.

1. True.
2. Was that the same store that was looted and torched? If so, maybe that has something to do with it?
3. Looks like pretty similar clothes. What do you think changed? By the way, are culottes becoming popular again?
4. I think it was closer to $48.

What do you mean by "this one"? The one in the surveillance photos or the one in the picture you attached? :?

EDIT: Never mind. The police report clearly says that it was not the same store as the one that was torched.
