I heard Glenn Beck this morning say America needs to stop getting involved in everyone's business and pushing it's ideology down their throats. He went on to say we should lead by example is making America "free for speech, religion, "lifestyle" etc...? I thought that was an interesting choice of words and I hated having to agree with him.

Spandos, you are falling down on the job.

The Conspiracy Theories:

1) Was whoever shot down MH17 actually trying to assassinate Vladimir Putin?

2)The Illuminati carried out the attack as part of its longstanding masterplan to trigger a third world war and thus establish a New World Order

3)MH17 was shot down 17 years to the day since its maiden voyage

4)'Pristine' passports prove it was all a hoax

5)Could MH17 actually be MH370

So wait, errant shots from our guys are excused during an armed conflict, because, you know, we're the good guys.

But if another country involved in an armed conflict accidentally kills people, we are supposed to go ape sh*t and arm their opponents while invoking sanctions, because, well, they are the bad guys? :suspicious:

Duh.

Apparently some folks want us to put more sanctions on Russia...and to arm the Ukraine government...all because some rebels shot down a plane because of an error.

But we don't do a damned thing when people actually try, and succeed, to attack and kill our diplomats. And we don't want anyone putting sanctions on the good 'ol US of Freakin' A when we kill kids and civilians due to errors.

We have killed FAR more than 300 civilians recently. Many times over. And the clowns we arm and support in countries all over the world have also killed far more than 300 civilians.

The hypocrisy is way too funny and idiots on both side of the aisle seem to be incapable of recognizing those facts. :coffee:

I just don't think we've heard calls for that on this forum. I know I don't want to see that, but I would like to see a little more "we're on this" out of the people we should be seeing it from. My own employer's spox tweeted as her final tweet yesterday (as the world is blowing up) an article about fashion sense among smart women. There's an asleep at the switch quality to all of this on our part.

There just seems to be a lack of seriousness about all of this. And it looks like there were Americans on this plane- and to me, that is consideration #1 here. We need to show that we aren't going to tolerate it, and all of the hand wringing and moral relativism over how we killed Indians or nuked Japan is irrelevant. There are things we can do to show a little leadership on this that do not involve arming the Ukrainians or getting belligerent.

The US does not kill diplomats or oust sitting presidents - even democratically elected ones. Never has.

I pretty much stopped reading this thread because it got too "involved" in politics, and I just avoid that shit because partisan fuck bags don't actually talk politics...they lecture their views.

Anyway...

Did he really say 9/11 was Regan's fault?
