for those still looking for plan information, here's an exchange website that was built in the span of a few days by three guys in San Francisco in their spare time for the grand total cost of $0.

There's only one thing you can count on the government for, spending money unnecessarily.

Meet CGI. I've worked with folks over there and performance was always less than stellar.
Pay attention the very last line.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/won ... hcare-gov/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;CGI had done work in the healthcare arena, and not all of it good: Its performance on Ontario, Canada's health-care medical registry for diabetes sufferers was so poor that officials ditched the $46.2 million contract after three years of missed deadlines, the Washington Examiner reported. A spokeswoman for CGI says that both parties are bound by confidentiality agreements, but they're working on resolving the situation.
It has, however, helped deliver complex projects on time and on budget. Back in 2009, the White House's Recovery Board retained CGI Federal to adapt a well-functioning system it had built for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency into FederalReporting.gov, another very complex, public-facing and high-volume site that would handle all contracts granted under federal stimulus legislation. This one got built in six weeks, for much less money, and won accolades for its flexibility and reliability.
Pay attention the very last line.

"Healthcare.gov ‘may already have been compromised,’ security expert says
Not only is healthcare.gov at risk, it may already have been compromised, a security expert testified before the Senate.
“Hackers are definitely after it,” said David Kennedy, CEO of information security firm TrustedSEC before a House Science, Space, and Technology committee hearing on security concerns surrounding the problematic Healthcare.gov website.
“And if I had to guess, based on what I can see … I would say the website is either hacked already or will be soon.”
Kennedy told FoxNews.com he based this on an analysis revealing a large number of SQL injection attacks against the healthcare.gov website, which are indicative of "a large amount" of hacking attempts.
"Based on the exposures that I identified, and many that I haven’t published due to the criticality of exposures – if a hacker wanted access to the site or sensitive information – they could get it," he told FoxNews.com.
A spokesman for the Department of Health and Human Services, which runs the nation's new healthcare website, did not immediately respond to a request to for more information.
One key problem facing Healthcare.gov is that security wasn’t built into the site from the very beginning, he said -- an opinion shared by both Kennedy and Fred Chang, the distinguished chair in cyber security at Southern Methodist University.
“There’s not a lot of security built into the site, at least that’s what we can see from a 10,000 foot view,” Kennedy told the committee. And although the site doesn’t house medical records, it integrates deeply with other sites, includes ecommerce information, and houses a vast array of data that presents a very salient target.
“It’s not only social security numbers … it’s one of the largest collections of personal data, social security and everything else, that we’ve ever seen,” Kennedy said............"

"Second wave of health plan cancellations looms
A new and independent analysis of ObamaCare warns of a ticking time bomb, predicting a second wave of 50 million to 100 million insurance policy cancellations next fall -- right before the mid-term elections.
The next round of cancellations and premium hikes is expected to hit employees, particularly of small businesses. While the administration has tried to downplay the cancellation notices hitting policyholders on the individual market by noting they represent a relatively small fraction of the population, the swath of people who will be affected by the shakeup in employer-sponsored coverage will be much broader........"

Re: Obamacare is Here....let's review
"Older hill aides shocked by Obamacare prices
Veteran House Democratic aides are sick over the insurance prices they’ll pay under Obamacare, and they’re scrambling to find a cure.
“In a shock to the system, the older staff in my office (folks over 59) have now found out their personal health insurance costs (even with the government contribution) have gone up 3-4 times what they were paying before,” Minh Ta, chief of staff to Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.), wrote to fellow Democratic chiefs of staff in an email message obtained by POLITICO. “Simply unacceptable.”
In the email, Ta noted that older congressional staffs may leave their jobs because of the change to their health insurance.
Under the Affordable Care Act, and federal regulations, many congressional staffers — designated as “official” aides — were forced to move out of the old heavily subsidized Federal Employees Health Benefits program and into the District of Columbia’s health insurance marketplace exchange. Others designated as “unofficial” were allowed to stay in the FEHB program. Managers had to choose whether aides were “official” or “unofficial” by Oct. 31, and Ta said that wasn’t enough time to make an informed decision about who would benefit and who would lose out by going into the new system.
Moore’s office was one of those in which all staff were designated as “official” and pushed into the exchanges. That ended up being a problem for older staff, who weren’t accustomed to paying higher premiums because of their age.
But age is one of the few factors insurers can use to adjust prices under Obamacare — and older people will often pay much more than younger people........"

And I'm sure CA isn't the only state.
So you have mostly younger, healthier people refusing to sign up on the exchanges. And even for those that are willing, what happens when people can't get signed up on the exchanges, or when they think they're signed up but they're not because of the problem on the back end of the exchanges with the insurance companies not getting the info, or the correct info, or they get signed up but can't afford the premiums, or if they manage to get signed up and can afford the premiums, they can't find a doctor?
How the f is all this going to work?

Heritage comes up with a lot of proposals that most conservatives don't necessarily agree with. Like I've said before- they're a think tank. That's what they do- they probably also have a proposal for what to do if space aliens land in the Rose Garden.kalm wrote:You must think I'm defending it....but sensitivity noted...CID1990 wrote:
