On the news last night, saw an interview with James Alex Field's mother. Apparently some people found her before she actually heard the news. She seemed confused and unfortunately detached from his white supremacy beliefs seemingly through blissful ignorance. Sad that she either didn't care or didn't know.

That said, one interesting thing about this is how the "interview" is being spliced and diced. Most of the clips I've found (including the one on the news last night) cut off right as she's saying "Trump is not a supremacist."

The full segment is her saying "I didn't know it was white supremacists, I thought it had something to do with Trump. Trump is not a supremacist." All of the clips cut off after the second "Trump". IMO that's not by accident.

Google "Fort Sumter" ... there was no war until that point ... spin all you want to ... that was southern land and the union army would not leave until they provoked force from the south. That started the war, not slaves or slavery, I don't care if slavery was mentioned by the south at any point, or if they mentioned chili pepper.
The war was over that set up by the north at Fort Sumter ... period.
