Maybe so. But seriously, anything that happens to a black person is automatically a hate crime. We had a black man killed by police several weeks ago. The community said he was killed by a white cop, witnessess all claimed he was killed execution style. Well, the cop was black. Never fired his weapon. The boy was killed, by a gun that he had (that he stole. It was reported missing days earlier) and the DNA evidence on the gun was the boys and the guns owner (his step father.) Oh, and why was he stopped. B/c it was July, he was wearing a black hoodie, with the hood up in 90+ degree heat and walking in a bad part of town (where Charleston uses more black cops than whites.) That's kinda suspicious. If I saw a white dude in a leather trenchcoat, walking around in that weather, i'd say he was up to no good.

After all that came out, the story (and the NAACP) went away.

He was wasting the police officer's time by not exiting as quickly as possible. There didn't appear to be any reason given as to why they needed to exit so quickly but it certainly could have been for his own, and the officer's, safety. But this douchebag felt that he had plenty of time and decided to use only one hand to gather his belongings.
