I want 89 to feel scared in America...because that America will be an unquestionably better one than the version where economic and power structures skew towards people like him.
That sounds like a threat. Maybe the proper authorities should be notified.

Honestly, just STFU with that tact css75. This is a political message board. We all speak our minds.

We don't need posts like this.

A few of us here actually dealt with our personal information being posted online and even had our bosses contacted about our personal internet postings due to a poster who took this tact. We don't need this healthy forum being made into an unhealthy personal situation.

Thanks 93.

As much as I disagree with some of you, (and God knows I do), we've all witnessed the damage css75's suggestion leads to. Heck, AZ can threaten me with death all day if he wants and I'd NEVER report him to the mods, let alone the actual authorities.

Never in all of my 56 years have I seen anyone who painted with such a broad brush, with so little information, and passed judgement so quickly on someone they know virtually NOTHING about.

Trip, you and your kind, those who would rather bring everyone DOWN to the lowest common denominator than allow those with more drive, passion and guts to succeed in this great nation, are nothing but a skid mark on the underpants of America. America and true Americans are waking up to the damage you’re doing and continue to do to this great nation. You and your ilk will be swept up and washed away, never to be heard from again in the coming years. The day of reckoning is coming.

Count on it. You’re welcome.

So Trip (and I agree unfairly) passes judgement on 89 which you have a problem with and then in the next paragraph you accuse him of wanting to "bring everyone DOWN to the lowest common denominator...." and also accuse Trip of doing damage.

What damage has Trip done to this great nation? Be specific! And you must know him really well since I can't remember him ever saying he wants to drag everyone down to the lowest common denominator.

Trip has opinions. Some I agree with some I don't. Guess I'll have to get in line for the CS therapy session...

And there's a lot of false equivalencies between the parties, but the voting records are not equivalent at all. I'm not saying either side is clean, but ultimately the GOP is chasing a one-time payout while the DNC is trying to set up long-term health.

If you compare America, its population, and its resources to a fruit tree, the DNC wants to water it, feed it fertilize it, brace it, etc. Hopefully it grows and continues to bear fruit for years. Some years will be better than others, but Americans we'll never live long enough to meet will enjoy the fruit.

The GOP just wants to harvest the fruit and chop the tree down to burn for firewood, even though that means there'll be nothing tomorrow. But they don't give one crap about tomorrow because they won't be here when people start starving. They'll gorge themselves on the fruit for one night and tomorrow's problems are for whoever comes later. And they'll make sure their kids got plenty of fruit while it lasts.
A counterpoint to your tree analogy is that America isn't a single tree but an orchard full of them and that the progressive Berniecrats want all of the trees to be equal. If any tree grows bigger and healthier than the others, the Berniecrats want to trim it back and tape the pieces to the other trees so they don't fee inadequate. Eventually the trimmed trees catch a disease because of the cuttings and the Berniecrats have to cut the smaller trees because they're larger and healthier. It's a downward spiral into Venezuela.

If you look at federal spending (mandatory and discretionary), what kinds of programs is the money being spent on that are all about today with no concern for tomorrow? Who is the "champion" of those programs? I would hazard a guess that social security, medicare/medicaid, health, education, and income security take up a large chunk of the spending. The problem isn't that we're spending too much on Republican priorities rather than Democrat priorities; the problem is that we're spending too much.
Well then, since I have to deal with trees all the time here's another one...

America is a golf course and it's people are not just the trees but the turf too. At its founding, fast growing hybrid poplars were planted. They thrived for many years but eventually became so large their shade prevented sunlight from reaching the turf and their shallow and broad root structure started poking up through the turf in critical areas of play (fairways and greens). They also drank so much water that the turf around them started drying out and dying back earlier and earlier each season.

I've seen it happen a million times.... :ohno:

Both of you are going in the right direction, but you both failed short of the mark with one critical aspect: personal choice. Are small or large trees in the orchard small, or large, because of their personal choices? Is the large tree on the golf course at fault for being big and requiring water? What idiot put a golf course next to the poplar trees? And do I get relief from the roots?

Trip has made his political desires very clear here. Certainly much, much clearer than 89 has.
* Throwing out the constitution
* Harrassing and assaulting anyone with a dissenting opinion

these are just from THIS thread....there's literally dozens and dozens of posts just like this in other threads:
At this point it should be gloves off against everything the GOP idoes. Make their lives uncomfortable, harass them at private places, protest everything they do, make sure their children know how hated their parents are. We have entire generations of progressive people that are being held hostage by regressive idiots and it's going to get very ugly before it gets better.

I want 89 to feel scared in America...because that America will be an unquestionably better one than the version where economic and power structures skew towards people like him.
I'm serious when I tell you that the America you'll pass away in will be unrecognizable to the America which existed when you first opened your eyes. I'm a minuscule slice of 2+ generations that have a completely different vision for this nation, and at some point we're going to wield a lot of power.
Then there's this gem, which sounds EXACTLY like the tactics being employed by the morons on the left:
- They punch you and put into law items that harass you at a daily level. Their government harasses you, their justice system harasses you, and their economic system harasses you.
- Then you shout at them for attacking you and they claim they're the victim and you're being uncivil.
- Then they punch you in the face again. Repeat this until you're bloodied while they scream about how you're oppressing them.
I do like this quote:
I believe in a fair democratic system - an equal voice to all - while others pretend the charade we have now is "democracy."
But in reality, he ONLY believes in an equal voice to all those who agree lockstep with his socialist views. Anybody else is (in his OWN words) going to get harassed and attacked until they fall in line with his views.
