I noticed that. I will be interesting to see if that holds up.

Congrats to Obama. We really need leadership from the POTUS and Congress. He won't have it easy.

A win is a win. Obama won all the states he had to win, and then some.

I have absolutely zero feelings about this election or anything to be excited about concerning Obama's win. :ohno:

But I am curious to find out whether dope is legal, gays gain equality, and if public schools are supported in Washington. I'm also glad that Elizabeth Warren and that one chick from Wisconsin won.

Given that they called California with exactly ZERO votes reporting, I'm going to guess it won't hold up.

I'm surprised that Ohio was called already. It's 49% to 49% with 27% of the votes still to be counted.

After Florida in 2000 I'm not ready to say Ohio is done.

Obama leads Ohio by 991 votes (and shrinking), and they call it for Obama?

Early returns say 51-49 against 502.

No, but that wasn't the question. The question was whether the popular vote difference would hold up and I don't believe it will, given they haven't counted a single California vote yet.

As they should. It's almost as if the networks don't want to get left behind, one network calls it to get a scoop and others follow.

This is one time where I might wait for Fox News.

Curious about the Elizabeth Warren view - there you have a moderate Republican who often bucked his own party, was highly liked in his own state (ABC had him with a 60% approval rating), lose. Is that a good thing? You could argue, like some pundits have, that is was more an electorate voting for the party as opposed to the person. Is it good to continue down that road of partisanism? I honestly know very little about Mass and the race itself, but it's interesting to like that another moderate has gone on to defeat.

Totally based on her views of financial reform.
