Hegseth is a war criminal and likely so is Trump. Further explanation in the comment thread.

A service member of the United States Armed Forces who without justification or lawful authority kills another human being is subject to criminal charges under Article 118 of the UCMJ

whiskeyleaks should be more concerned about his own violations of the UCMJ then Senator Kelly’s alleged violations.

The Venezuelan have a simple choice

keep their drugs in country and nobody dies

If Maduro was smart and less greedy and corrupt, he would call Trump and ask to be flown to Switzerland … the new regime will work with you on stopping the drug flow. Just don’t send any missiles in here.

We now have a specific order that was illegal.

What lame/irrational excuses/reasons are MAQA yahoos going to invent to use to claim the Patriotic 6’s video was seditious now?

Columbia has worked with us allowing US support operations.

Will we attack China next? That’s where a bunch of fentanyl comes from.

Columbia University or Colombia ?

Hey genius, would I tell you how to run the golf course?

Colombia has worked with the US in the past, but they never stopped working with the drug dealers… you’re very naïve on how Latin America works

Thank you for making my point. And Columbia is still the world’s #1 producer and exporter of cocaine.

And what are your credentials regarding international relations? More street smarts?

Maybe you’ll surprise with an honest answer for once. I’ll hold my breath.

So the lame/irrational excuse//reason is that you can’t undermine the CIC?

WRONG. Our Constitution includes a critical element called Freedom of Speech. It’s more important than trump’s fragile ego and his ambitions to be the dictator of a banana republic.

Whiskeyleaks should be investigated.

Exactly, that's why whiskeyleaks should be investigated for saying kill them all. It's extremely likely that giving the order to kill survivors of a missle strike clinging to wreckage was a violation of the UCMJ. The Secretary of Defense violating the UCMJ is a much greater offense then a retired officer and US Senator restating a part of the UCMJ.

Pete Hegseth ordered ‘kill everybody’ in first Caribbean boat strike

September 2.

Off the Trinidadian coast.

Hegseth responds to report that boat survivors were killed as a result of his orders to military
One person familiar with details of the Sept. 2 incident confirmed to ABC News that there were survivors from an initial strike on the boat and that those survivors were killed in subsequent strikes. ABC News has not confirmed, though, the specifics of orders from Hegseth or Bradley.

Critics of the Trump administration and some legal experts have questioned the legality of the strikes. Under the Geneva Conventions, wounded or sick combatants are to be collected and cared for by either side in a conflict.

A top Republican senator, Roger Wicker, has joined his Democratic counterpart in calling for "vigorous oversight to determine the facts" of allegations that the military intentionally killed survivors of a boat strike.

"The Committee has directed inquiries to the Department, and we will be conducting vigorous oversight to determine the facts related to these circumstances," said Sen. Wicker, R-Miss., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, and U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Whiskeyleaks and his lickspittles in the Pentagon deny it of course and will do everything in their power to keep it buried.

Donald Trump said on Saturday that the airspace above and surrounding Venezuela is to be closed in its entirety.

Trump, in a Truth Social post said: “To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY.”

Venezuela’s communications ministry, which handles all press inquiries for the government, did not immediately reply to a request for comment on Trump’s post.

The US defense department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Considering how trump and whiskeyleaks are vindictive little twats I don’t blame people for being anonymous.

Senator Wicker seems to believe it’s worth looking into.

Why do you swallow the trump regime’s responses without question? I would hope that someone who talks about critical thinking skills would actually engage them.

‘We Intended the Strike to Be Lethal’ Is Not a Defense

Andy McCarthy Torpedoes Pete Hegseth’s Response to Blockbuster WaPo Report in Scathing Column: If True, It’s ‘At Best, a War Crime’
“If this happened as described in the Post report, it was, at best, a war crime under federal law,” McCarthy wrote. “I say ‘at best’ because, as regular readers know, I believe the attacks on these suspected drug boats — without congressional authorization, under circumstances in which the boat operators pose no military threat to the United States, and given that narcotics trafficking is defined in federal law as a crime rather than as terrorist activity, much less an act of war — are lawless and therefore that the killings are not legitimate under the law or armed conflict.
...
“Even if you buy the untenable claim that they are combatants, it is a war crime to intentionally kill combatants who have been rendered unable to fight,” McCarthy wrote. “It is not permitted, under the laws and customs of honorable warfare, to order that no quarter be given — to apply lethal force to those who surrender or who are injured, shipwrecked, or otherwise unable to fight.
...
“Neither Hegseth’s statement nor the explanation attributed to [operation commander Admiral Frank M. ‘Mitch’] Bradley… makes legal sense,” McCarthy wrote.

He added, “This is a very serious matter. The administration’s defense can’t be that ‘we killed them because our plan is to use lethal force.'
Can anyone recommend a good lawyer for whiskeyleaks?

If this is true, I feel kind of bad for Admiral Bradley. If the Patriot 6 had released their video sooner he might have refused whiskeyleaks' order.
