What should horrify Americans is not Kaepernick’s choice to remain seated during the national anthem, but that nearly 50 years after Ali was banned from boxing for his stance and Tommie Smith and John Carlos’s raised fists caused public ostracization and numerous death threats, we still need to call attention to the same racial inequities. Failure to fix this problem is what’s really un-American here.
What should horrify Lew Alcindor is that he is as stupid as they come.
Blacks voted in droves against the old white guy who was the best candidate for them...and that racist clown bytch on CNN, the one who is a Hillary superdelegate, said, "Don't let the two white guys win."
THAT behavior is acceptable in today's society...so it is a different kind of racism. But Lew doesn't mention that, does he?
Of course, not...that isn't his thing.
And Lew didn't put the most racial, and stupid, of Kaepernicas' quotes in the article, because Lew understood the ignorance involved in those quotes (at least I hope he understood).
I'd respect Lew if he wrote a balanced article. He chose not to do that, similarly to many moderate Islamists that won't put direct pressure on their own ignorant peeps. Typical...and disappointing. We should be able to expect more from so-called leaders, but it is a damned shame that they don't deliver the real goods.
