Hillary wins Nevada only 53-47. A month ago she was suppose to win Nevada in a 20+ point blowout..

Doesn't matter, even though it was "closer" than thought, hilldog commands a 502-70 delegate/super delegate lead. Bernie is done.

I hope Bernie sticks with it for a while. Makes her burn cash fighting him. Plus he's a pussy so he's not really getting her dirt aired. Imagine what it will be like when Trump starts hammering on her instead of on Cruz and Rubio.

To be frank, pics like those are why this whole election-cycle is ridiculous, especially on the Republican side. By all accounts, Trump hasn't been a "friend" of the Clinton's per se, but it's not like they haven't been VERY pleasant to each other for like...forever. I'm obviously not very conservative, but even I find it absolutely ridiculous how Trump's been able to fool the GOP. If Republicans don't genuinely want a Clinton Presidency, then Trump better not be the nominee. Otherwise, they're gonna fool themselves like they fooled themselves with Romney.

ps. Chelsea Clinton and Ivanka Trump are basically best friends, which kinda shows you how close these families really are.

As I said before, the person who wins the majority of state primary & caucus delegates will win the nomination, irregardless of super delegates. The democrats aren't going to commit political suicide by allowing the super delegates to overturn the popular delegate vote from the state contests.

Oh yes they would. The superdelegates exist solely to put the mainstream candidate into the election. The current scenario is precisely what they were designed for.

Meh..."who's friends with who" when it comes to politics is completely overblown.

Honestly if you allow a single 10 year old photo op sway your opinion on a person, that says a lot about your disposition as an American voter. But that shouldn't be a surprise, given the sheer number of single issue voters that exist.

Politicial parties exist for one purpose, to protect their interests.

Hillary needs to be careful, the more she goes after Sanders, the more she alienates his fanatics. And I don't see Bernie as the type to just accept being her VP.

Both sides have the same issue. Fringe candidates with huge drawing power that can split the vote if they run as independent candidates.

Could you imagine if both Sanders and Trump decide to run as independents?

Two extremist candidates (Trump, Sanders) with emotional and engaged followers
Two establishment candidates (Rubio, Clinton) both whom leave a lot to be desired and have a lot of PR nightmares to deal with.
And then Rafael Cruz, who is an extremist but is loyal to the GOP.

In that scenario, I don't see any one of them garnering more than 30% of the vote. Maybe Bloomberg can swoop in and play spoiler by playing the "true middle of the road outsider" card.

If Sanders won the most delegates through primaries and caucuses the superdelegates wouldn't overturn that decision.

Obama was getting his ass whooped as far as super delegates at this time in 2008.

He didn't have a lead in super delegates until May 2008.

It's a different situation, and I don't see Sanders overcoming it like Obama did. But saying "Clinton has far more super delegates. Sanders is done" is pretty stupid.

Since the existence of superdelegates have been specifically stated as being a bulwark against a fringe candidate, then what would you say their purpose is- if they would not turn the nomination away from a non-mainstream candidate who had a narrow edge in awarded delegates?

Obama was the non-establisment candidate in 2008. If the superdelegates that were originally committed to Clinton stayed with Clinton - he would not have been nominated.

The primary and caucuses prevent a "fringe" candidate from being selected. If a candidate can win a majority of uncommitted delegates... they're no longer a "fringe" candidate.

Yes, that cunt Debbie Wasserman Schultz said that the superdelegates are there to keep a "fringe" candidate from being elected. She's a Clinton proxy. By harping on their superdelagate lead and callling the other candidate "fringe" or "unelectable" they try to tamper the optimism and momentum of the other campaign. Don't take anything she says with face value. Surely you're smarter than that.

The face of the DNC is not to be believed

I'll remember that the next time liberals freak out over the Clinton plant Trump when he talks about walls

BTW I don't know what planet you were on, but Obama most certainly was a mainstream candidate. He was being groomed by the DNC the minute he took the stage for his speech at the 2004 convention.

No fucking kidding. Anyone thinking Obama wasn't a mainstream candidate in 08 is a fucking delusional idiot. He was the DNC's wet dream, and you can clearly see that based on his broke dick agenda. Hell he showed up and let Reid-Pelosi call the shots. :dunce:
