He was Governor of New Mexico for two terms winning the second term with a larger margin than the first. That state is as blue as they come. To think he couldn't get crossovers is silly.

It's completely laughable to pretend to know how Johnson would have done had he been the R candidate. 100% speculation. :coffee:

Sounds a lot like what people were saying about Romney. :lol:

Not even close. Johnson was re-elected by a wider margin than he won the first time around. Romney didn't want to take his beating in a re-election so he ran for president instead.

Please define that "middle" for us?
Here's what wikipedia says on it:
The radical center is most often associated with ideologies such as social liberalism and progressivism. Policies from the radical center tend to be pro-civil liberties, progressive taxation and climate change tackling.
Gary Johnson definitely has the social liberalism down... but, he is extremely far from progressivism. He is very pro-civil liberties. He is couldn't be more anti-progressive taxation.

Here's a ranking by Project Vote Smart of the politicians most aligned with the idea of a radical middle:
http://votesmart.org/interest-group/185 ... J1Od8XA98E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ron Paul is at the very bottom of that list. Gary Johnson isn't on the list... but, he would certainly be towards the bottom as well... I would bet
I'm for pro-civil liberties, progressive taxation and climate change tackling and I support Johnson!

It's a matter of definition and priorities. I have no problem with progressive taxation but think that 37% of a federal income tax rate is too high for anyone.

And that ranking appears to be one man's (Mark Satin) opinion. Why is his definition of radical middle and ranking of where people fall in it any more valid than mine or Kalm's or Baldy's or yours? When I saw Durbin's name near the top that list lost all credibility. I live in Illinois and Durbin is a machine style politician who has no business being considered "radical middle."
