1) She wasn't being sarcastic, she was pissed off because he had come up on her at a high rate of speed, she felt the urge to get over quickly, and forgot to signal because of his actions.

2) Acting pissed off or even sarcastic gets you a ticket instead of a warning in that situation, but not yanked out of the car and taken to the ground.

3) He was clearly egging her on.
If you're in that situation and the police officer asks you to put on your cigarette, are you going to put out your cigarette or are you going to escalate the situation by responding as she did?

Be honest. And I know you know what I'm talking about. She for some reason felt compelled to be a smart ass.

That does not mean I think the police officer acted correctly. But it does mean that her behavior was a factor in the situation escalating.
His # 1 job is to de-escalate the situation. He was clearly the antagonist.

That cop was spoiling for a confrontation and a chance to throw his weight around. Hadn't been on the force long, still getting his game together on women. Yeah, he show the bitch... :tothehand:

She had every right to refuse to put her cigarette out, John. Your groveling obsequiousness toward authority is disgustingly un-American, revolting to behold, and says a lot about why the French are the butt of so many jokes. :coffee:

I stipulated earlier that the police officer is the professional and needs to act accordingly.

But the point is that she acted in a certain way. And the way she acted was a factor in what happened. And I think that Blacks tend to do that. I think that the way Blacks tend to act and respond is a factor in the crap that happens. Blacks tend to have an attitude. You know it's true too. You may not admit it on this board. But you know it's true.

What is it in you that makes you instinctively grovel before authority, John? People must be very different where you live. :ohno:

You pick your spots. I'm sorry, but what the woman did was stupid.

Look, I would be the first to say that there should be a different paradigm with respect to the latitude given to police. But the situation is what it is. If you do what that woman did, you do something stupid. That cop would've gotten inflamed by what she did regardless of her race. If a white woman or white male had said what she said when he asked her to put out her cigarette that cop would've gotten pissed off.

How do you expect to sell that nonsense when you don't even believe it yourself, John? :ohno:

So what's the count so far on speech disruptions by black lives matter?

Sanders - run off the stage
Bush - met with them ahead of time, but they still disrupted his Las Vegas town hall
Clinton - met with them ahead of time, then she just simply banned them with no backlash :?

Here's an idea - today's racial climate has deteriorated dramatically since '08, so why not picket the White House? I guess Obama's constituents already gave up on him doing anything. :coffee:

You shouldn't be asking us...you should be asking that clown why it matters to him...and why he won't be straight with anyone.

Apparently, truth and honesty don't matter to certain people. Avoid telling the truth about yourself...but scream a message and expect people to listen. :dunce:

Dont look now but theres a few polls starting to show both Trump (wtf) and Bush beating Hillary in the general

The same polls show Biden doing better against them but also losing

we are in interesting times - Hillary could wind but being the most hated person in the Democratic Party if her shenanigans translate into a President Trump

(I still dont believe Trump gets the nomination but maybe Im just on a river in Egypt)

I would agree with you that Trump will self destruct and his schtick will grow old over the next 9 months. He is a cartoon figure.

I have no idea who will end up with the Dem. nomination, where it seemed like a lock a few months ago.

That's right! We need SERIOUS candidate. One who's SERIOUS about change. Someone who takes the voters wishes and plight SERIOUSLY! :ohno:

They are all cartoon characters. Perhaps Trump is just honest about it. For all of his self importance, he might be the least self important among them.

Uncle Joe is the man for the job. :thumb:
"I'm mad, I'm angry," Biden thundered, attacking the U.S. economy as "devastating for workers."
"Let me tell you something, man," Biden said. "The tax code's not fair. The wealthy aren't paying their fair share."

God I hope Joe runs. I can't wait to see him run against the Obama/Biden record.
