Not only are they not going to ask that applicants report their criminal histories if they have them:
I dunno. Seems to me like maybe a company could still do background checks then just use judgement with respect they see anything that really concerns them. Like something like having been convicted several times of stealing from former employers might concern them a little more than possession of marijuana. That sort of thing.Individual corporations—like Koch Industries—have also acted independent of government regulations to remove criminal background checks from their own job application processes.
