Salmon, Steelead, and otters are more important than Boeing.![]()
It could seriously be argued ^ by most states
Particularly any state having economic troubles - what the trade off values are
Each has to decide and measure the consequences of each decision
And trust me - there are always consequences for every decision
Washington is busily attempting to understand the consequences of driving Boeing away
There are MANY huge employers in the state
Boeing (85,000 employees)
Microsoft 42,000
University of Washington School system 25,000
Amazon has 15,000 employees in Seattle
Wayerhouser has 10,000
Costco has 10,000
Fred Meyer has 7,000
Nordstrom has 6,000
Boeing trumps 'em all
but is also the most contentious and least cooperative
