In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

Re: Wealth Inequality in America Visualized
Yes I saw that yesterday. Same old same old. I don't remember if it was a comment in the article I saw it in or in the video but it was stated that household incomes of the middle class were stagnant over the period from the 70s through the 2000s. That is not true. MIddle class incomes went up substantially in inflation adjusted terms over that period.
And of course there is the same old implication that there is some massive pot of income and/or wealth out there such that one person getting more necessarily means another person getting less.
Now somebody needs to make a video like that showing the distribution of taxes paid. It would be more "unbalanced" than the one on incomes and wealth. I think you'd get the same kind of misperception to start as well. I think that most people really have no idea as to just how much of the tax burden is carried by those at the top.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
