I agree with this and the monopoly is probably even worse than the big banks.

Democracy Now with Ellen Goodman is about the only thing resembling real news I've seen for awhile.

Either a wire service, or a news service, sent out the story and these lazy people didn't even make the effort to rewrite it...

Local news can be a money maker for stations...you just have to cut out writers, producers, etc...and then the anchors and reporters are responsible for writing everything...then buy a news service, and then a lot of the script comes to you pre packaged...
