Huh? Environment didn't even make the list for the 1st graph I posted, and was 12th down the list on the 2nd one.

I think it should be down because we're doing more than our part to help. We haven't been perfect, but the US has done a fine job curbing man-made climate change while balancing economic and social needs. Good post Trip. People are going to always prioritize their pocket book over long term health and quality of living. Too bad more people don't show the same concern over the environment they are leaving their kids and grand kids as they do the national debt.
