I can understand Smith thinking the perps had guns due to previous breakins at his house.
In October, Smith had "guns and other valuables taken," but Wetzel did not have additional details.

The thefts remain unsolved, and no suspects have been identified. Pioneer Press

So you use a picture of a mob to represent an individual defending his home? That's on par with D1B posting a picture of some individual preists with a bunch of Nazis.
 Stop being so obtuse. You complete understand the correlation.

To blanket this situation with statements of anyone entering your house could and should be shot on sight, no questions asked, is folly. It is mob mentality.
Yoo-hoo...come back to planet Earth. I live in Newark, Delaware...we have drunk college kids walking into people's (stupid people's - who leaves doors unlocked in cities these days) houses all the time. I'm not suggesting shooting them...maybe a little target practice with a tazer would be fun. I am specifically talking about shooting people who break into and/or burgle your house. Heck, I even used those words.

If someone breaks into a house, I'm completely comfortable with the homeowner using his judgement to eliminate that threat...even if he misjudges and kills the one in a thousand person who wasn't going to commit a crime. It's not a good situation (unless everyone involved was a scumbag or an Obama supporter), but I'd rather err on the side of the guy whose house has been invaded...because those folks get killed too often.

BTW, I really don't think you have a grasp of what makes up a "mob mentality"...unless the homeowner has multiple personaliltes.
These signatures have a 500 character limit?

What if I have more personalities than that?
