You know what I'm talking about. Everybody knows I am not an Obama fan but come on. This thing where we wait with baited breath to seize upon something someone says during conversation that can be spun into something sinister is RIDICULOUS. He just used the same word the host used when framing the question.
Yeah if he'd had PR people working on working out the best thing to say with plenty of time to think about it he'd have used a different word because they'd think about all the different ways in which people in our over sensitive society could possibly be offended. But he was just in a conversation looking like he hadn't slept for three days. Good GRIEF.

The "not optimal" thing
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
Deep Purple: No One Came

But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Hmmmm kinda like the Donks looking stupid and trying to make something out of nothing regarding Romney's "binders" comment?JohnStOnge wrote:You know what I'm talking about. Binders - a funny joke that no one really thinks Romney meant that way.
Not Optimal - a serious attempt to discredit a candidate.

Exactly. A better comparison would have been the 47% comment.danefan wrote:Huge difference.Baldy wrote: Hmmmm kinda like the Donks looking stupid and trying to make something out of nothing regarding Romney's "binders" comment?![]()

Maybe he has, but as of now I haven't heard Romney say anything about Obama's comment on the campaign trail. On the other hand, Obama and his minions have been constantly touting the binders comment at virtually every campaign stop.
Besides these people are the ones who claimed Romney was a felon and caused the death of a woman due to cancer. Gimme a break.

Do you think anyone is taking the binders comment seriously? Nobody took it seriously when the Dems went with the Big Bird ads (in fact, I think people thought the Dems looked stupid for doing it), and I don't think anyone thinks Romney is a felon.Baldy wrote:Please...danefan wrote:

The binders thing will die down over the weekend and will be forgetten after the next debate. It's not an issue that Romney needs to worry about.

Dear lord... please allow this dangerous combination of hair spary, bat slobber, and D.O.T. four automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body, provoking me to kick any man or woman in the back of the head regardless of what he or she has or has not done unto me. All my Best, Earlie Cuyler.
