Perhaps we should re-examine the extent to whcih government helps industry. However, a "tax breaK is not, in my opinion, a subsidy. You are not giving somebody something by "letting" them keep their own money. So that kind of stuff does not, in my opinion, qualify.
But for darned sure government shouldn't be taxing people in in order to pay for some industry's advertising.
Here's a newsflash for ya: it's happening all the time in a ton of different industries and favoring businesses that are primarily owned by so called "conservatives" and "libertarians".
