CIA drug running and weapon running and Mena, Arkansas:

Oliver North is one of the biggest drug runners in the country, and he's still a free man!

So are Jerry Brown and the members of the California Legislature, and all major media outlets who promote and protect Big Pharma for the sake of billions in ad revenues..and yet, they too are still free!

See how this works?

Difference is, North's contact was indirect as the folks who transported/provided the arms to the contra's also happened to be involved with the Colombian drug smugglers....

...and (wait for it...)...

...North was indicted and convicted for his "misdeeds".

How about Holder?

How about Obama?

North would be closer to the equivalent of a high level ATF agent (haven't followed the story close enough to insert a name here).

Holder would closer to the equivalent of the Secretary of Defense, Weinberger

And Obama would be closer to the equivalent of Reagan in the Iran Contra scandal.

And, the whole thing would be closer to the equivalent of the Iran Contra scandal... if we had an embargo on Mexico... which we don't.

First...no embargo required. It's already against both U.S. and Mexico's laws.

Second...the CIA agents who handled the arms distribution, at the time of the distribution, were not knowingly providing the guns to convicted felons, as the ATF did during Operation Fast and Furious.

Third...Congress appointed Independent Counsel Lawrence Walsh, who spend almost 6 years investigating Iran-Contra, indicted and prosecuted almost a dozen officials, including Weineberger, and when Walsh couldn't find enough dirt to go after Reagan, he slimely released his "findings" on the eve of the '92 election, successfully blocking Bush's attempt at a second term.

I'd be happy with a like-for-like investigation.

What's abominable, Jellydonut, is seeing you defend the scum who facilitated the brutal butchering and slaughter of thousands of Mexican's, a people whom you had the blessing to learn from and befriend.
