The first tweet came at 2:17 AM ET and stated "@BarackObama has just passed. The President is dead. A sad 4th of July, indeed. President Barack Obama is dead"
A minute later the next tweet came across "@BarackObama has just passed. Nearly 45 minutes ago, he was shot twice in the lower pelvic area and in the neck; shooter unknown. Bled out"
At the same 2:18 AM time stamp came the third tweet "@BarackObama shot twice at a Ross' restraunt in Iowa while campaigning. RIP Obama, best regards to the Obama family."
Three minutes later another tweet "#ObamaDead, it's a sad 4th of July. RT to support the late president's family, and RIP. The shooter will be found"
Three more minutes later "BREAKING NEWS: President @BarackObama assassinated, 2 gunshot wounds have proved too much. It's a sad 4th for #america #obamadead RIP"
The final message came in at 2:29 AM "We wish @joebiden the best of luck as our new President of the United States. In such a time of madness, there's light at the end of the tunnel"
Now none of this reads as newsroom wording which immediately makes in unbelievable, yet Keith Olbermann was all over this telling his followers it isn't true.
At 7:01 AM FOXNews made a brief mention on the air that their twitter account was hacked without talking about the specifics of the message...
Lastly, hackers should better time things.... who would believe Obama would be at a restaurant at 1AM campaigning???
