All insurance has a profit motive. Using that logic you would be against all types of private insurance..

All insurance does not have a profit motive. And I’m fine with private insurance as a Cadillac plan or supplemental for those who can afford the premiums. A base level of government funded insurance that enables quality healthcare for all including catastrophic and expensive is beyond reasonable.

Insurance shouldn’t be for yearly checkups & basic preventative care. You usually don’t use your insurance when you take your vehicle into the dealer/local mechanic for basic maintenance & upkeep. Prices are posted. You know what you are paying. It should be the same way at the docs office & hospital.
