I arrived in San Juan on June 1, 1988…. Checked into work and tossed my bag down …. Everybody left for the day and looked around and said … what am I gonna do now? So I gazed up the hill into old San Juan and said to myself it’s time to go walk the streets.

although I didn’t know it at the time that walk into Viejo San Juan was the road map for the rest of my life….
