You're the one twisting yourself into pretzels to justify saying that boelter's confession is proof that there was no rightwing motivation for his killings but if robinson did the same you would only believe it if we found out that "all of the communication he had with his lover admitting that he did it and why he did it turns out to be fake."

Why shouldn't we also require that all of information we know about boelter's past (evangelical Christian minister, graduated from CFNI, founded religious nonprofit Revoformation Ministries, preached against abortion and LGBTQ+, attended trump rallies) also be fake for us to believe his confession?

boelter has nothing to lose (he's looking at life in prison or death) so it's definitely possible that he made that "confession" not because it's the truth but because it helps a cause he believes in. Only a moron would believe it without at least a little skepticism.
