Republicans already had an uphill battle this year if you look at the electoral map. Now that the majority of moderates and almost 100% of Democrats would never vote for him, it almost makes Clinton an inevitability.
Wrong again.

Showing little sign of a "ceiling", Donald Trump has only grown in support with the exit of Ben Carson and Marco Rubio's collapse..

......This is the first time Trump has garnered the support of a majority of Republican primary voters nationwide. YouGov's February 24-27 survey marked his previous high, at 44% support......"

Da fuq makes you think moderates would side with hilldog...or 100% of donks for that matter? :dunce:

I'm a moderate donk, here is my candidate ranking:

1) Rubio – I’ve been up front about going about this election with 2008/2012 race card group think. I’ll stand by that to the end. The reality is Rubio is no different of a candidate than Obama was in 08. If he wasn’t Brown, I’d never consider voting for him.
2) Kasich – Moderate dude with executive experience. Most qualified candidate of the bunch, but has no shot at POTUS and is smart enough to stay away from the Trump ticket.
3) Bernie – Honest old guy. His domestic policies are a total disaster for anyone with a real job, I like his tough talk towards the bankers. I can vote for him mostly because none of his policies have any shot at getting through congress. I also would like to see the fall out in the ME from a Jew dictating foreign policy.

T-Last (in no particular order):
hilldog – Anyone thinking she would be a good POTUS is fvcking clueless. Her incompetence as SOS is proof enough that she will fail and be a total disaster at a higher level. If you think her skirting the laws and regulations as SOS was bad, wait until she can skirt the laws and regulations as POTUS.

Trump – I still have no idea what or how he plans to fix things. I have heard that “he is great” and he is “the best there is” at everything, also “everyone loves him”. He does provide great entertainment though and I love the irony that the true conk base is falling for the most hypocritical candidate in this thing.

Cruz – He’s Canadian.

I said they wouldn't vote for Trump, not that they'd vote for Clinton. You just said it yourself.

Regardless, I'm confident Trump won't win; the math isn't adding up.

You're clueless. :dunce:
He's hurt. Trump hurt his feewings.

I was talking to an Iranian American this weekend...a guy that came to America, "over 30 years ago." He was surprised that I knew so much about Iran until I told him that my school had a dozen Iranians that came over, "over 30 years ago."

This guy, a UD employee, was saying Trump was a racist and that he hated Muslims. After I parsed out the silly racist definition (in a polite manner), and made him focus on, "bigotry," I then asked him if he could explain the situation in the Middle East. Of course, it was a loaded conversation, but eventually he recognized that his opinion was similar to Trump's.

My uberLiberal friend, the Iranian's neighbor, who was afraid that the conversation would get ugly, was completely perplexed that the conversation turned into her neighbor from the liberal sound bite dark side into a rational thinking person.

In the end, EVERYONE is a conservative when it comes to their own best interest.
These signatures have a 500 character limit?

What if I have more personalities than that?

Aside from the fact that the cited poll appears to be an outlier, "Republican Primary Voters" is not the same thing as "Republicans." There are open primaries and one problem Republicans are having is a lot of non Republicans are voting in Republican primaries for Trump.

Here is a an article of recent polling of Republicans:

http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/201 ... one-on-one

First of all, it showed that both Cruz and Rubio would beat Trump soundly among Republicans if either had him one on one. Secondly, there is this:
63 percent of Republicans think the GOP should pick someone other than the current front-runner if he goes into the convention in July with the most delegates, but not an outright majority, compared to just 30 percent who say he should win the nomination.
That's not exactly an indication of resounding support for Trump among Republicans.

With Rubio out, it's time to see if Cruz can shift the tide. If Kasich drops out too, I'm very interested to see where a large portion of these voters will go. Or if they just stay home.

OK. it's as I suspected. Yougov.com does not engage is "scientific polling." Not credible. Google "What is yougov.com" to see what I'm talking about. The stuff about Donald Trump enjoying >50% support is crap.

The problem is that Rubio was in when primaries were being held in States where Cruz was strongest. But it's possible that we can get to a situation in which Trump goes to the convention without a "first ballot" majority. And if that happens I think there is a good chance Trump will get spiked at that point. I can't even talk about all the details of why I think that. But let's just say I think the Republican Party, on a State by State basis, is selecting delegates who have to vote for Trump on the first ballot but will NOT vote for him once that first ballot is done.

And I think that's fine. I don't think it's a violation of the "will of the People" because I think the overwhelming majority of Republicans absolutely do NOT want Donald Trump to be the Republican nominee. The will of the Republican people, I think, is to avoid having Trump as the nominee.

I think he may have but his overall support levels is in the 30s. He has continued to benefit from the opposition being divided.
