Eh, not convinced in this country that it'll make a real difference one way or the other in terms of unwanted pregnancies. We have a special kind of dumb in the US, and it crosses the political aisle, and we can have kids with health classes where they pass around all the different kinds of birth controls and yet still later on they'll not use one and be shocked at the resulting pregnancy. Still the right thing to do, though.

We have a special kind of dumb in the US, and it crosses the political aisle, and we can have kids with health classes where they pass around all the different kinds of birth controls and yet still later on they'll not use one and be shocked at the resulting pregnancy. It's not a bad idea to teach abstinence only (which the parents should do) but we are intelligent enough to know that kids will not listen to Mom and Dad so the best option is to educate them on the preventive measures.

I'm sure some mom will cry foul at this(and probably a Republican mother) and to her I say: Don't rely on the government to teach your child YOUR values.

Agreed. However, horny teens should know how to protect themselves. I don't see why we wouldn't teach that. It's not condoning the behavior.
