Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
Tough ending for Nova & the Big East, well except for Xavier I guess who is still playing. NC State was a good team - I saw them destroy Duke in Raleigh this winter. They'll miss Hilliard & Pinkston, otherwise all back right? Yes, Hilliard and Pinkston are gone. Nova will be good again next...

Re: THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE
The Center officially seats 20,318 for NBA and NCAA basketball. Georgetown game was a sellout at 20,587 St. John's 19,161 Syracuse 18,369 Marwquette 13, 313 I think it is very telling about the health of the current Big East that both the G'Town and St John's games sold more than the Syracuse game....

Re: Playoff Selection Show???
There were 7 fumbles in the game and JMU recovered them all from my recollection. i think i have this one on tape. I'll take another look, but that was my count when I was at the game. JMU had 2 turnovers VU had 3 turnovers JMU +1 in that matchup... :thumb: I guess you must have missed the game. It...

Re: Flacco Bowl
Just can not stop Pitt's running game. Very strong, and unfortunate for the Hens. Hopefully they can get -something- going in the second half. 27 Total yards to Pitt's 322.

Re: CAA is back!
So in this year's playoffs, the CAA did not lose to any team that isn't another CAA team or NDSU. Is it obvious now? No other conference matches the depth of talented teams that the CAA has.

The score seems much closer than it should be. I expect UNH to take control in the second half.

Re: New Hampshire at Maine
And don't think nova's performance was anything special: 23 points in ~8 minutes isn't special? Name one other team in the FCS this year that managed a comeback of that magnitude with that little time left. The only point you're making is that the Delaware defense is terrible. Villanova and Roberts...

Re: New Hampshire at Maine
What's the chances Maine turns things around from a couple weeks ago? I would say pretty high. Maine didn't have all that much to play for that week as they had already clinched the CAA title. Also, playing UNH is -very- different when they are not at home! The 2009 VU team (FCS Champions) lost @UN...

Re: ESPN Petition
I actually like ESPN3 because it gives access to games that otherwise would not be televised, but it has it's nuances. For example, I can never get decent quality video out of ESPN3 on Google Chrome so I always use Internet Explorer for streams now. Luckily I can connect my pc straight to my TV, but...

Re: CAA Announces All CAA Honors
Im going to guess it came down to Senior > Sophomore . . . That's what I figured, and Wasilewski's efforts led Maine to the playoff team that they are. Robertson has two more years to rake in the honors, and he will. The stats might not show it, but Robertson can definitely throw the ball too. VU's...

Re: 2014 Schedules
I wouldn't chalk up Nova at Syracuse as an auto-loss quite yet. It'll be tough, and there's a good likelihood that the Orange will win, but they're no LSU. I can easily see Nova winning that game.... Definitely. We did give Boston College (who is favored against Syracuse on Saturday) a good game th...

I think the SRS system the NCAA uses is different than the SRS system we had been previously using So all this complaining by vutomcat was all over a ranking that wasn't even the real ranking? Well we had every reason to believe that was the real "NCAA SRS", since whoever runs that ...

Re: Delaware vs Villanova Game Thread
good for nova, but i was saddened to see Robertson didn't go over 200 rushing yards. Oh well, better luck next year. At least Nova's kicker can make a field goal. Hamilton has been very solid. I'm not sure he missed any FGs all season. What a way to end a college career! Well, while I can think of ...

Re: Delaware vs Villanova Game Thread
UD up by 22 late in the 3rd quarter. Waiting for that nova guy to say nova should still be in the playoffs because the computers will still have nova ranked high. You know, close losses and all. I wouldn't be surprised if the Hens hold on that several of the computers will STILL have villanova rate...

My favorite "Battle of the Blue" November 23, 2013. Villanova is down 34-12 with about 8 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter. Villanova scored three touchdowns, but fails to convert the two-pt conversion which leads to an onside kick recovered by....VILLANOVA! VU Senior Mark Hamilton's 24...

Delaware vs Villanova Game Thread
The tradition continues with this year's season finale matchup between the University of Delaware Blue Hens (7-4 CAA 4-3) and Villanova University Wildcats (5-5 CAA 4-3) known as "The Battle of the Blue." This years game will be played at PPL Park in Chester, PA. This is the second game at...

Hard to ignore those high computer rankings of Nova I think. They will try. After Saturday we will see what kind of chance Nova has. No one can know for sure how much the committee will lean on the computer rankings. Hopefully they decide to take the teams which are obviously better, instead of the...

Re: CAA Power Rankings
It probably sounds ridiculous at this point, but both NH and Villanova would be in much better shape at NH(7-4) and Villanova(6-5) right now. Not playing the 12th game really hurts. The Tribe got snubbed in 2008 at 7-4. The committee took Maine at 8-4 that year. The Tribe lost its last game in over...
