We really do need a left handed quarterback. We're a little too one-dimensional with all the right-handers.

I REALLY like what the Eagles have done today, finally. WR saturation. They get a proven WR in Goodwin from the 49ers for peanuts and draft two more WRs today, so that's four new WRs for Carson. They beef up the interior and outside OL with Taylor and Wanogho. They actually pick up two LBs and a solid safety as well.

After yesterday's debacle. I feel a helluva lot better now. Sorry, Howie. You redeemed yourself a bit. Several smart trade-downs and pickups.

Goodwin is hardly a "proven receiver"
he's a train wreck with a 20 catch a season avg. over 7 year career
the only thing he's proven is that he doesn't catch very many passes

Ben DiNucci will be holding the clipboard of the guy who holds the clipboard for Dak Prescott next season.

Surprised. I was expecting 1-2 JMU players to be drafted late, but not Dinucci. Got a nice 1 min blurb by Kiper with highlight package.

I saw that. Very complementary. He called FCS "I-AA". I bet Ralph rolled over in his pod in China.

The 1 JMU player everyone thought most likely to get drafted, AA DE Ron'Dell Carter, per the JMU board, has signed as a UDFA with the Cowboys.

Does Denver run the 3-4? At 6'5"/250ish, I would imagine he'd eventually get closer to 260ish, and play that the rush OL/DE hybrid.

You're right. But last year's 13 was the second lowest total, 2017's 15 was third lowest and this year might just be lowest ever.
And it wasn't even close.

Worst year ever, third worst and fourth worst... last four draft. You guys were right. I-AA is better than ever.

Tied for 4th worst with 2004, 2006, 2012.
Speaking of the last 4 drafts, were 19 drafted in 2018. Going back 5 drafts were 20 drafted in 2016. Most since 21 in 2008. And in 2003, when UD won their NC, was the previous low of 12. Like I said in the other thread:
I-AA/FCS picks since the draft decreased from 12 to 7 rounds in 1993:
1993: 17
1994: 22
1995: 22
1996: 29
1997: 27
1998: 17
1999: 27
2000: 21
2001: 16
2002: 18
2003: 12
2004: 15
2005: 16
2006: 15
2007: 18
2008: 21
2009: 17
2010: 17
2011: 19
2012: 15
2013: 16
2014: 17
2015: 17
2016: 20
2017: 15
2018: 19
2019: 13
2020: 6
https://herosports.com/nfl/draft-fcs-pi ... -2019-ajaj

I-AA goes from recent history of 13-20, to 6.
Div II goes from recent history of around 5-6, to 2.

That can't be a coincidence. Pro Days at colleges and universities, and all the other cancelled pre draft scouting, workouts, interviews, and investigative stuff I bet hurt a lot of the I-AA & Div II fringe late round prospects more than the I-A guys. They'll probably be just as many I-AA UDFAs. How many are drafted doesn't matter as much as how many I-AA's make rosters. Will be interesting to see that comparison to previous seasons.

Boredom is relative to which side of the field you are sitting on.
