COACH HAUCK: "We’ve really had some good battles at most of the positions on our roster. It’s been fun to watch our players compete for playing time next fall. Our practices have been very physical, as usual."

Who do you like better for the QB position right now Ursus?

Re: Griz wrap up spring ball tomorrow (article)
I don't know about Ursus, but I like Larson to be honest. Selle may have a little more experience, but Larson is the better athlete. According to Re/Max's updates throughout spring ball, Larson has excelled through spring camp and has the leg up at the moment, BUT, there's a long way to go.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Who do you like better for the QB position right now Ursus?

Man I don't know. It will be interesting to see how the guys do tomorrow. I really want to see what the young kid does and see what he looks like. I know they always say the QB battle is up for grabs but based on the playing time that Selle has seen vs. the others I would have to think he is in the head position but I've got nothing to back that up. It will become pretty interesting in the fall I'll be you.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Who do you like better for the QB position right now Ursus?

Heck the last two posts prove my assertion that things will be a battle in the fall.

Yes sir, it sure is. It brings a nervous excitement when you're moving from a pretty good leader like Cole and you have a couple of pretty solid choices waiting in the wings. I hope the right guy is given the job like it happened back in 1993.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:Heck the last two posts prove my assertion that things will be a battle in the fall.

Well the Griz Running backs were powerful and quick yesterday and the QB's and recievers were not firing. Montana looks to have some really good and speedy talent at the skill positions though. Here's the recap from yesterday's scrimmage.
