Post by Mvemjsunpx »

Big Sky

SUU 24-31 EWU
NOCO 35-30 PORTST
SAC 45-17 IDST
WEB 27-26 NAU
UND 17-27 UMT

  • NConf Record: 2-0
    Overall: 13-12

    vs. FCS: 2-0
    Overall: 6-2

Best Performance: (#5) Eastern Washington 31, Southern Utah 24 - Eagles give up 434 passing yards, but win the turnover battle 4-1.

Worst Performance: Idaho St. 17, Sacramento St. 45 - A blowout loss to a team an equally bad ISU squad beat at home 2 years ago leads to the official end of the John Zamberlin era in Pocatello.

Most Surprising Result: Northern Colorado 35, Portland St. 30 - Despite Viking coach Nigel Burton's "guarantee", the Bears get two 50-plus yard touchdowns in the fourth quarter & finally win a close game. It's probably not enough to save Scott Downing's job, but you never know…

Southland

SELA 14-51 SFA
SHSU 20-13 UCA
NICH 37-7 NWST
TXST 6-36 MCNSE

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 15-17

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 11-5

Best Performance: Nicholls St. 37, Northwestern St. 7 - Colonel QB LaQuint Caston runs for 134 yards and 3 touchdowns and also throws for another.

Worst Performance: Northwestern St. 7, Nicholls St. 37 - Demon QBs complete just 38% of their passes & throw 4 picks as their team's momentum goes down in flames.

Most Surprising Result: Northwestern St. 7, Nicholls St. 37 - The Demons still have a 23-15 edge in the series, but have now lost 6 of 8.

Missouri Valley

SDKST 24-31 NDSU
MIZST 14-38 UNI
EIU 23-27 ILST
WIU 10-20 SIU
INST 30-24 YSU

  • NConf Record: 1-0
    Overall: 13-6

    vs. FCS: 1-0
    Overall: 8-3

Best Performance: Southern Illinois 20, (#23) Western Illinois 10 - The Salukis outrush WIU 254 to minus-7.

Worst Performance: Illinois St. 27, Eastern Illinois 23 - Redbirds struggle with a 2-8 Ohio Valley team.

Most Surprising Result: Southern Illinois 20, (#23) Western Illinois 10 - The Salukis' 7-year streak of making the playoffs will come to an end next week, but their now 9-year streak of beating the Leathernecks continues.

OVC

EIU 23-27 ILST
SEMO 27-29 JAXST
EKU 42-29 TTU
TSU 0-37 UTM
MUR 61-35 AP

  • NConf Record: 0-1
    Overall: 13-16

    vs. FCS: 0-1
    Overall: 7-7

Best Performance: (#6) Jacksonville St. 29, (#7) Southeast Missouri St. 27 - Marques Ivory throws a 17-yard touchdown pass to Alan Bonner with 11 seconds left to put the OVC auto-bid firmly in the Gamecocks' grasp.

Worst Performance: Tennessee St. 0, Tennessee-Martin 37 - The Tigers clearly failed to show up in this rivalry game as evidenced by their 517-123 yardage disadvantage.

Most Surprising Result: Murray St. 61, Austin Peay 35 - The Racer D isn't very good, but the "Hatch Attack" has done great things for the offense as they are 5th. in FCS in scoring, 4th. in total offense, and 3rd. in passing yardage.

Patriot League

HC 37-27 LAF
COLG 31-7 BUCK
LEH 24-7 GTOWN

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 12-22

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 12-20

Best Performance: Colgate 31, Bucknell 7 - Nate Eachus puts forth an unremarkable (for him) day: 160 yards rushing and 3 TDs.

Worst Performance: Bucknell 7, Colgate 31 - Bison rank 8th. from the bottom in total offense and will continue to drop after gaining just 182 yards here.

NEC

SFPA 17-41 DUQ
WAG 14-24 ALB
RMU 21-27 BRY
CCSU 49-48 MONM (2OT)

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 13-13

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 10-12

Best Performance: Bryant 27, (#25) Robert Morris 21 - Bulldogs force 3 interceptions & return 2 of them for touchdowns in this out-of-nowhere upset.

Worst Performance: St. Francis (PA) 17, Duquesne 41 - Red Flash outpassed 293-48.

Most Surprising Result: (#25) Robert Morris 21, Bryant 27 - I know this game didn't mean much for the Colonials, but it's not encouraging for a playoff team when their starting QB puts up a 78.3 efficiency rating against a mediocre opponent.

CAA

UNH 31-24 NOVA
UD 45-27 UMASS
MAINE 28-18 TOW
URI 6-15 RICH
W&M 24-30 JMU

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 19-11

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 17-3

Best Performance: James Madison 30, (#1) William & Mary 24 - I guess the key to beating the Tribe is to do nothing but run: the Dukes ran it 48 times & threw it just once.

Worst Performance: Towson 18, Maine 28 - Tigers lose their 13th. straight CAA game.

Most Surprising Result: (#1) William & Mary 24, James Madison 30 - The Tribe become the fifth #1 team in the TSN poll to lose this season.

Big South

GWEBB 3-55 SBU
VMI 28-45 ODU
LIB 31-45 CCU
PRESBY 39-42 CHSO

  • NConf Record: 0-1
    Overall: 10-23

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 3-14

Best Performance: Coastal Carolina 45, (#12) Liberty 31 - Zach MacDowell throws for 382 yards and gets 4 total TDs as the Chants keep their faint auto-bid hopes alive.

Worst Performance: Gardner-Webb 3, Stony Brook 55 - Bulldogs lose turnovers 7-0 as they fall to 1-7 since beating FBS Akron.

Most Surprising Result: (#12) Liberty 31, Coastal Carolina 45 - It seems the Flames always find a way to choke in a late conference game. They still have decent playoff hopes, however, given the relative weakness of this year's contenders. They also have a chance at the auto-bid if Coastal loses to Charleston Southern or if the Flames outscore SBU by at least 42.

MEAC

SCSU 32-10 MORG
DSU 21-31 NFOLK
NCCEN 21-28 SAV
HAMP 12-17 FAMU
HOW 20-35 BCOOK

  • NConf Record: 0-1
    Overall: 8-22

    vs. FCS: 0-1
    Overall: 1-13

Best Performance: (#15) South Carolina St. 32, Morgan St. 10 - The Bulldogs pick up 8 sacks and currently lead FCS in total defense, giving up just 192.2 ypg.

Worst Performance: NC Central 21, Savannah St. 28 - The Eagles easily win yardage, but lose the turnover battle 4-0.

Most Surprising Result: Savannah St. 28, NC Central 21 - The Tigers end an 18-game losing streak against FCS opponents.

SoCon

GASO 28-6 WCU
WOFF 13-43 APP
FUR 25-30 ELON
SAM 14-48 UTC

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 15-11

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 11-2

Best Performance: (#3) Appalachian St. 43, (#4) Wofford 13 - The Mountaineers take advantage of 4 fumble recoveries & make a big statement in clinching the SoCon.

Worst Performance: Samford 14, Tennessee-Chattanooga 48 - The Bulldogs are outgained 550-232 and allow Moc QB B.J. Coleman to put up a 260 efficiency rating.

Most Surprising Result: (#4) Wofford 13, (#3) Appalachian St. 43 - This is the second-straight time a really good Terrier team has been totally whipped by the Mountaineers in Boone.

Tomorrow: Non-playoff conferences.

Most Surprising Result: (#19) Cal Poly 21, UC Davis 22 - After leading 21-0 in the second quarter, the Mustangs totally piss away a sure playoff berth.

ALCORN 27-35 PVAMU

Worst Performance: Mississippi Valley St. 7, Alabama A&M 21 - Delta Devils finish winless & lose their 16th. consecutive SWAC contest.

Most Surprising Result: (#20) Grambling 34, Texas Southern 41 (OT) - After dominating the conference for most of the season, Grambling blows a 17-point fourth-quarter lead and loses the inside track at the SWAC Championship Game.

Pioneer League

BUT 7-10 DRAKE
DAY 41-34 MARIST (2OT)
USD 29-15 DVDSN
CAMP 24-31 JU
VALPO 15-37 MHEAD

  • NConf Record: 0-0
    Overall: 10-18

    vs. FCS: 0-0
    Overall: 4-14

Best Performance: San Diego 29, Davidson 15 - Mason Mills throws for 240 and 2 touchdowns as the Toreros pick up a cross-country road win.

Worst Performance: Valparaiso 15, Morehead St. 37 - 5 Eagle turnovers prevented this from being a blowout, but the Crusaders were still outgained 609-124 by a weak team.

Most Surprising Result: Dayton/Jacksonville - If these two teams don't make the playoffs, they might be able to blame unimpressive wins over weaker competition in their final 2 games.
