A couple things are obvious here

there are people here who dont think there are consequences for goading a coequal branch of government

and two, most of those same people believe Iran is actually going to agree to or abide by any agreement, treaty or otherwise, that involves them not getting the bomb

TEHRAN (The Borowitz Report)—Stating that “their continuing hostilities are a threat to world peace,” Iran has offered to mediate talks between congressional Republicans and President Obama.

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, made the offer one day after Iran received what he called a “worrisome letter” from Republican leaders, which suggested to him that “the relationship between Republicans and Obama has deteriorated dangerously.”

“Tensions between these two historic enemies have been high in recent years, but we believe they are now at a boiling point,” Khamenei said. “As a result, Iran feels it must offer itself as a peacemaker.”

He said that his nation was the “logical choice” to jumpstart negotiations between Obama and the Republicans because “it has become clear that both sides currently talk more to Iran than to each other.”

He invited Obama and the Republicans to meet in Tehran to hash out their differences and called on world powers to force the two bitter foes to the bargaining table, adding, “It is time to stop the madness.”

Hours after Iran made its offer, President Obama said that he was willing to meet with his congressional adversaries under the auspices of Tehran, but questioned whether “any deal reached with Republicans is worth the paper it’s written on.”

For their part, the Republicans said they would only agree to talks if there were no preconditions, such as recognizing President Obama’s existence.

How do you feel about a president that learns about problems with his administration in the paper? How can you support such a person that treats you like an idiot? You need to stop treating Democrats like they are Jesus Christ. They aren't They are just as corrupt as Republicans.

I'd like to think the President has better things to worry about than what email address his Sec State is using.

Fear is the only front put up by the GOP these days since the economy argument is down the drain. Oh my, India has the bomb, oh my, Pakistan has the bomb, oh my, N. Korea has the bomb and is making missiles out of paper towel tubes and can now destroy us in one fell stroke, oh my, the USSR developed the bomb and we have to execute the Rosenbergs, oh my, Iran might make a bomb and use one of N. Korea's paper towel missiles to blow up the joos, or even us with one fell swoop....

And the faux news crowd hangs on every word, especially when we have a Democrat in the White House..

Partisan powered paranoia, need to be in a constant state of war with any and every country that does not agree with American policies, a need to ignore a sitting POTUS for political reasons shrouded in piles of fear, and again, 47% of us swallow it hook, line, and sinker. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Fact: The United States of America is the only country in history to use nuclear weapons on another country, and that country did not have nuclear weapons. :dunce:

Fact: Why do you Faux News warriors suppose there has not been any nuclear weapons used by any country against any other nuclear power???

M.A.D, that is why. You live by the bomb, you will die by the bomb. Suicide committed willingly on a nations self.... :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

The United States of America has the most modern, most dependable, and most usable nuclear stockpile in the world, bar none. They are deployed all around the world, and they can be used in a matter of minutes on anybody in the world, and they have no defense from it..

Israel has hundreds and maybe a thousand usable nuclear devices that can also be deployed accurately in a matter of minutes, and I suspect they are strikingly similar to what we have developed. 8-)

Keep shitting your pants kids, keep watching politically crafted propaganda that keeps you sufficiently paranoid, and scared. Hell, go vote for some POTUS candidate that doesn't even believe in evolution as long as they want to start another war, and send all the mexicans back across the border as soon as they get in office. :dunce:

Then bitch, bellyache, piss and moan when a Democrat kicks them out of office again, and goes about repairing all the damage done, politically, economically, and otherwise, because you are butthurt again for following another retard into the White House..

Superhornet!!!

I guess thats a roundabout way of saying we shouldn't be negotiating with Iran (because we never abide by treaties... at least not with injuns) but I suppose it is good to arrive at the right answer even if involves space aliens and unicorns.

I don't think that's true at all. Being a patriot means you want what's best for the country. All it takes to be a patriot and support the letter is to believe the letter is what's best for the country.

Me, I don't know right now because I don't know what Obama's trying to negotiate.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

And I agree completely with your last sentence. If more people started their positions with a form of "I don't know for sure" the world would be a better place.

It would also be more gray.
