YOu must have misunderstood what I said

But thanks for all the pie

I like pie

BTW I have always said that EU countries spend one dollar less on their own militaries for every dollar we spend on our own. Scientists call that a parasitic relationship but we call them our friends.

I'm all for letting the EU guarantee its own safety for a change (and watch what happens to all those social utopias when they have to choose between paid vacations for all or not speaking Russian)
Sure, I completely agree: But that will never happen
because 80% of the people who vote Republican think we need MORE MILITARY
(as this political forum shows me over and over again)

Because somehow "More" is better
and "More" solves all the problems
More Military is the answer

:coffee:
i dont know about your 80%

maybe, but my anecdotal gut tells me different

if 80% of republican voters were in favor of expanding the military then Romney never would have gotten the nomination last time

that said, it is usually the utopian trusting nations like Poland who stick with cavalry into 1938 and then get skullfvcked

being John Kerry declaring that we dont play by 19th century rules doesnt make people like Putin stop and consider their heathen ways

Nope. I was critical of easy money policies when Bush was prez and Greenspan was at the Fed.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is stepping down under pressure, the first cabinet-level casualty of the collapse of President Obama's Democratic majority in the Senate and a beleaguered national security team that has struggled to stay ahead of an onslaught of global crises.

The president, who is expected to announce Mr. Hagel's resignation in a Rose Garden appearance on Monday, made the decision to ask his defense secretary — the sole Republican on his national security team — to step down last Friday after a series of meetings over the past two weeks, senior administration officials said.

Hagel whored himself out to a feckless politico and got what he deserved:

exposure as a fraud

enjoy the bookend to an underwhelming senatorial career
